6 pack running really really rich

i got my car running today trying to get it ready for spring fling this coming weekend, but i just cant seem to get that smell of raw gas out of my tail pipes at idle.i basicallydont know crap about sick pack carbs and have no knowledge on how to adjust a carb, i dont have the money to pay someone to do it for me but i do have cash to buy the parts and install what ever i need my self, i know theres alot of tweaking when it comes to six pack carbs but for right now im just trying to get my eyes from crying cuz of the raw fumes anything would help alot   thanx in advance.  heres the specs
motor has about 10,000 miles on it
440- 10.5  compression kb domed pistons.\
509. purple shaft
906 cast iron stock no hardened valve seats
mp  orange box
total t iming at 34 degreess
electric fuel pump 2.2-4psi  3/8 fuel line no fuel regulator
champion plugs .35 gap accel superstock wires,pro compelect. dist.

Put about a 3.5 power valve in the center carb along with a blowout kit.    Initial timing should be about 18 degrees and total should be right around that 34 / 35 so you might need to get your dizzy recurved.   Buy a vacuum guage.
After that you have to play with the a/f adjustment screws on your end carbs if they are vacuum secondary carbs.
Last resort is drilling holes in the center butterflies.



I have mechanical secondaries and have no a/f adjustments on the ends.

The .509 cam is tough to work with a 6 pack , the .509 needs a 3.5 powervalave to work properly , the cam simply doesn`t make much vacuum at idle

allright guys  i changed my power valve to 3.5, i got 18 at idle and 34 total still have that raw gas smell anything else i could try or is that cam no bueno for the six pack let me know thanx  maybe i could buy another cam ??????
