they are completely real, and it is legal.  the bones are from 7 different "donors" and were purchased from medical resource centers where the bodies had been donated to science.

The law is that you can have bone as long as it does not have flesh attached to it.  The guy who built it has 90% of a human skeleton in a glass case in his living room.

He actually sold that guitar to a collector a few years ago, but I'm trying to get him to build me a new one.  Ya know, it goes with the whole IKILLYA theme.  :)  Speaking of, this is my homemade gun mic!  it looks better from a stage, but hey, it gets the point across.
