Hey all,

Im looking for a vendor that might carry the soft pieces that are used around the bolts that hold the quarter windows onto the regulator mechanism.  There is a soft washer that goes between the glass and the head of the bolt, but also a sleeve to keep th ebolt from contacting the glass as it goes through the hole in the glass.  Any vendors or am I going to have to fab this stuff?   ???
thanks

this is a thread that you should read first before you buy from this vendor.  I have never bought from them, so I have no opinion on Jim's.

I'll keep searching for you though.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Maybe you could contact Bill Allphin (aka  GTX6970) on this site.

Here's his site and profile.

The factory used some large washers that looked like thick paperboard on both sides of the glass, and the sleeve around the mounting bolts looks to me like short segments of rubber hose. If I had to bet money on it, I would say it's the same hose that they used for the radiator overflow. It has the same rib pattern on it and everything. I found some large neoprene rubber fender washers at my local hardware store that I am going to use to put my windows back in. I haven't done it yet, so I can't say for sure it works, but if not I will just make some out of thick paper, like an old record album cover or something.
