I haven't been challenged by too many classics.  they're usually respectful, and I of them.  when I was in high school I used to race everything I could.  none of them were ever classics though.  I beat a Porche 944 twice in a row and got beat by a Cop Camaro by a nose once.  other than that, I don't remember many of them.

I mainly run into your average pnuk in his pick up.just let them have thier fun and i go on.have had a few ricers try ,but with a big old charger and a 2brrl.318 I am not gonna put much of a hurt on them.
I hate when i stop at a gas station and i need to go and you have guys coming up to you and talkn about the car,and you don't want to be rude but hey I got to go :brickwall:Oh well atleast they like my car :icon_smile_big:

I love cruising in my Charger. I can't tell what people are thinking when they see it. It runs really strong but looks really rough. Looks scary in the rear view though!  :icon_smile_big:  I don't race anyone. I  need to fix a few things first.

I used to race around back when i was in highschool...    my buddy had a 383 4-speed '71 challenger and i had my charger...     I would honestly usually win...   guess the guy just could not drive a stick all that well...

I see quite a few classics cruising around when I'm out in the Chevelle, usually a wave exchanges and we continue on.  I've only once been engaged in a friendly encounter with another 70 Chevelle.  Both of us were even so it was a thumbsup between us and we went on our respective ways.  I usually end up getting challenged by the usual rice rockets and the occasional Mustang or GM F-Body, none of which have been any threat to the Chevelle.

Before Mike sold AllBlue I took him for a drive in it and we pulled alongside another classic going the same direction. IIRC it was a '67 or '68 Camaro (Mike help me out here), maybe it was a Chevelle??? Sorry, it's been a while. I do remember that we acknowledged each other but they kind of had that deer in the headlights look and didn't really make any move to challenge us. In fact they didn't give us any eye contact to speak of after the initial meeting. Not that I would have raced them while driving Mike's car but if he had told me to run it I'm about 98% sure I would have. But I doubt they would have followed suit. They looked pretty intimidated. He let me open it up a few times but I always kept an eye on him to make sure I wasn't pushing it too much. As far as I know I didn't get in trouble (except that time I sort of ground the gears a little).
