For a drink, if you want to avoid Bourbon St. and sit in a decent bar, go to the Hotel Monteleone on Royal St. and have a few at the Carousel Piano Bar and Lounge.  Another good bar to sit back and relax is in The Rib Room (great food also) in the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel, just around the corner on St. Louis St.

If your hungry, K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen on Chartres St. has great food or for something more casual, Johnny's Po' Boys, just down the street from The Omni, is a tiny little restaurant with great Po' Boys.  The shrimp is my favourite.

Good luck with the tournament!

You guys no I can't even post pictures of my car, how can I post hotel room pictures?  My son bought me a T shirt that says "life sucks, My wife won't"  I really like it, but I don't think his mother will care for it.  The boys wrestled well in Greco Friday one boy took 1st one took second and one took 3rd.  In Freestyle one 2nd' one third and a fourth place.  The top  3 qualified for the Nationals in Fargo ND in July

My favourite t-shirt from NOLA (even though I never bought it) was:

"I got bourbon faced on shit street".

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris
