Should I paint my car white and put in blue interior?

Relating to the original post asking about most popular colors. The topic has sort of changed to white cars which my car came as originally.
In my book painting a car the original color just because that's what it came as isn't a good reason, especially if you don't like it. If it came molly sunshine yellow I'd change it no matter what anyone said.

Anyway...... my car apparently originally came white with blue interior. Who thinks I should keep it that way? I never got to see my car in the original form, does anyone know of any pictures of white with blue '68 Chargers?

I'm sort of torn, it's cool but I wanted red or green myself since that's what I had in the past and liked. On the other hand, white with blue interior is kinda cool.....and different.

Any input??

I had a yellow '73 and I hated it. It looked like it was a mile long and really big....which I guess it was. ;D
We also had a yellow Sunbird once and hated it. I'm just not a yellow fan ;)

On the other hand, I've taken heat for liking green cars and for having a purple GTX.

I'm not a fan of light colors on B-bodies, esp. white, but that's just me. Like like the dark blues, greens, reds and of course black.

I always joked about my old yellow '73 looking like a banana on wheels.  I really liked it though.  Im painting my current '73 FY1 Top Banana as well, kind of a tribute to my old car that I had so much fun with.  Top Banana and it looks like a banana...   :scratchchin: :hah:

I personally think white with blue would be really neat and UNUSUAL.  Especially if it is orig to the car.  My 69 was blue with a blue interior.  Not anymore.  Blue interior is cool and unique.  White is clean and unique.  Kind of that sleeper look.

I'd go for blue with a white interior.

I like a lot of the factory colours for the '69's and although the B5 blue is not my favourite - it does look great.

I would hope in the end you do what you want, and not what the consensus here is.

Whatever you do, DO NOT I paint my car white and put in blue interior

My car was white with a red interior and I had already done a Photoshop image of it....so I just changed the interior to blue real quick.

1968 Charger R/T, 440 auto.

mine was originally blue, and it was white with a blue interior when I got it...I ilked it, i thought it was a cool combination, but it was in poor condition and when I changed the seats for black leather ones out of a jag I went with a black interior with white door cards,
still havent done anything about the blue dash though.... need to get that sorted
I say go for it

no pics on the computer though...

Personally I never cared for white, but I think it was because I had looked at a few cars years ago that were repainted in white to hide flaws in the body work. That stayed in my mind for a long time & it's the first thing I think of when I see a white car. For some coincidental reason, the timing I had when looking for a car, somehow managed to lead me to one that had crappy body work done, & then painted white. Maybe I'm also tired of white since 4 of the last 6 daily drivers my wife & I have had, have been white.   ::)

White on older cars, especially a muscle car, seems kind of rare these days, If you did go with it, chances are there won't be too many white ones parked next to you at a show or cruise. The blue interior in a white car is a nice combo, but there are so many other combos I like better that I'd probably go with a different choice.

I totally agree and almost always do what I want on my cars, on the other hand I just don't want a car that everyone thinks is really butt ugly although I like it and if I enter it in a show or something will come in last place because all the others are 'more traditional'.  I'm not a huge fan of white really ,especially white with black, too utilitarian but the white with blue is sort of neat. You need something to break up and set off all that white. Also want to think of possible trade or resale value, don't want to find something I'm drooling over and not be able to sell mine because it's a weird and unpopular color combo. Just wanna stick within the realm of whats sort of cool.

i'm on board with doin what you want to it, that alone will make the car unique.  everyone's style is different and that's what makes it fun.  if everyone had a car that looked like mine, i wouldn't like my car!
