after looking at Pics of the other shows going on, i think i went to the wrong one :(  i suppose any Mopar show is a good one but for the second straight year i was disappointed. I am a 3rd gen Charger guy, thats what i go to see. There was one in the b body section, also a couple racing.     the swap meet sucked as usual, virtually no 3rd gen parts unless you count the repro vendors whose crap can be easily ordered online.  i could see a better selection of 3rd gen parts by looking in my barn and save a lot of gas money. On the bright side a cheeseburger, fries, and coke was only 10 bucks.

I'd have to agree with you - it was sorta a disappointment  :-\

some more cars that I got ( like 66 more pics too )

hm, on a great note - I went along with two friends - who have NEVER been to a classic car show - nor seen one up close or heard them running etc ( only seen them on roads or in parking lots etc )

so it was a great experience - haha I remember one of my friends - in the beginning - he was like " yea I only prefer to more modern cars " so we checked out the Vipers and Neons and PT's - then he heard a deep va-varRRROOMMmmm-chug---chug ---chug - and he was like what the BEEP was that?! and I was like a muscle car and he was like well wtf was it? - I pointed out a 383 Superbee that was slowly moving with the cha-chug

we were also amazed at the 1st gen hemi nascar charger's exhaust pipes... I need to find the pic we took of trying to stick his head in it when the people were looking the other way...  :icon_smile_approve:

though I wonder - I didnt see Yellowcuda nor Eastcoast there  :(

and I got vids of the parade drive byes - though we hit the camera button on time - but the recording delay - we only got some good footage of the cars peeling out

... and I would have never thought in my life it would be so hard to find a 2bbl carb or a SB 4bbl intake manifold

on a plus side - one vendor had bottled water for $1.00 - thank GOD I found him cause we were parched - and water was $3 everywhere! then we went to WalMart to get a new memory card ( we filled the other - he even deleted pics of his gf to take more video lol!! ) and found that water to be in 12 packs of 2 for $5..  :eyes:

I gues overall it wasnt too shabby - just wish there were more cars, and that more ppl entered the burnout contest than the diesel truck and that really big old rusty van  :yesnod:

I was there, I was the one with the disappointed look on her face.  Last year there were several rows of "B" body cars and "E" body cars.  This year there was like 4 2nd generations and only one that I liked.  The pink Cuda was cool, I will post a pic of that later.  There were so few cars that in a year like this one there was only 2 Gen Lees and one was a vendor.  I was trying to find a front right fendor for the '68 but there were like 1/10th the vendors than last year.  No concept cars (unless you count the new Charger).
On a bright side, my son liked the Bigfoot "Raminator" and had his pic. in front of that.  We only stayed about an hour.  If I wasn't already going to Year One yesterday I would have been upset that I drove an hour for that.  Eastcoast is on the west coast right now so we couldn't bring the car.
Next weekend we are traveling up to Tennessee to go the the Cove Lake Mopar show with 4404speed and Gilbert.  Hoping for a better turnout there. We are taking the blower car.
I am wondering if gas prices and the fact that Pigeon Forge had their cruise this weekend may have been a factor. :(

oh just wait till I start postin more pics - and some vids of the cars doing peelouts for the parade laps ( I think a '72 Cuda and a '64 SB Dart were the best... the blower cars were just total bums and didnt do much  :'( )

I think what really disappointed me ( other than the swap meet) was that  newer Dakotas/ Ram trucks and Pt cruisers outnumbered the "musclecars"  i have no interest at all in looking at P/T`S and late model trucks when i attend a car show.

Tripp1117

We planned on going this year but our car wasnt done in time so plan on my 3rd Gen being there next year ;D

tell me about it! but damn those engine bays are shoe horned in there

and if you want an idea of how many Chargers were there?

you had to literally search for them

I think I saw two 68's, one '69, one '70 and two '71s, and about 3 first gens ( including the one in Twilts pic ) if that

though it was cool seeing the swedish export Challenger - guess onyl exports had those scoops behind the doors - I gotta find some other host site... damn high quality pixs
