On a '68 Charger, is the k-frame the same for big blocks and small blocks? If the car originally came with a 318 will I need to switch k-frames to put in a 440?

Pretty sure they make conversion mounts for that.

2nd gens arent like third gens. The K frame is the same. Get the correct set of BB motor mounts for the engine and set it in there. You can still buy the motor mounts at the parts store for around 20 bucks a side btw.

That is one thing I am curious about.  What are the differences and how do you tell a SB from a BB K frame on a 3rd gen.

3rd gen the mounting ears are in different locations. You can mount a BB in a SB kframe on a 73-74 charger, Dont let anybody tell you otherwise. BUT it will put the engine at a angle and will cause severe U Joint angles which chews up U joints like nobodys business.

Now you just need a nice new shiny miloden oil pan TO. :D
