I am currently running the following Comp Cam:

A friend tells me I should go to the following for hp and torque gains:

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=LUN%2D60304&autoview=sku

My question, is does this sound like a worthwhile move?

Some other specs on my 440

Bored 60 over
Edelbrock RPM Performer intake
Speed Pro forged domed pistons 10.3-1 compression
Will be going to Edelbrock Performer Heads 84cc eventually
Converter is 3200rpm

MOPARHOUND!

Great question.

Is the engine running in the car at this time?

Are the heads stock?

Once you get past .480 lift with a stock head, HP gains are minimal, and the stock head needs lots of duration to make up for it's low flow.

The cam you are considering has more lift, and less duration, than you currently have.

I would wait until the decent flowing Eddy's are bolted on.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Thanks!

I am a few months away from the Eddy heads so I will check back.
