1969 318 Harmonic Balancer - Why is the one from Year One over $450??

Why do I see a $450+ harmonic balancer for a 318 from Year One?  What gives?

Also, for a slightly cammed 318 with a 4 BBL who is a reputable manufacturer?  PIONEER?

     Your first problem is that you are looking in a Year One! catalog.
Any internal balance 318/340 balance damper will work for you.

I looked at YO just to see a picture of it because I was wanting one from Mopar Performance.   I figured YO would be about 30% higher than necessary but I can do the math in my head.  LOL   When I saw 400+ on there I just about died.   That's borderline ridiculous.  Is Year One that much of a ripoff on interior parts?   Gawd I hope not!

I went with the Summit one.  Hopefully that will do the job nicely.  Thanks all for the help.

I've seen Y/O 50% over prices for the EXACT SAME ITEM on some things (stripes/fuel tanks ect.) I never figured that out, I guess they hope people will not price shop but for about 80% of the parts out there they all come from the same vendor
