i have 66 charger and i am trying to finish the brake mod . going from manual to pwr . it has the big 11" rotors  with pin type calipers and i have a pwr booster p/n #54-73603 and a m/c for 78 fury (b-body) it has a 1 1/8 bore . my questions are do i need to drill lower on my pedal  to change my pedal ratio ? and do i need a bellcrank  and adjustable pushrod ?  and my last  question do i use my old m/c firewall plate or a different one ??           thanks for any info  or 2$ comments   4-speedfastback        Tim

Im fairly sure you would need the bellcrank linkage setup.  At least thats how power brakes work on a 68-70 B body.
No other drilling is required.  The firewall plate would be different as well.

hey just 6T9 CHRG i got your e-mail  the booster i got is a Wagner product purchased from Bumper to Bumper parts in Owasso Oklahoma just north of Tulsa OK, the weird thing about it though , the box has the 54-73603 pn but the booster doesn't appear  to be the same as the picture in the on line images page of Advance or Parts America on line .  it has the correct bolt pattern on the firewall side and the m/c side its a dual diaphragm its basically the same with some cosmetic differences such as indentions and embossed areas that are different.  it is Bendix type booster. price was 93.00 + 20.00 CORE  + tax   thanks for the info and where can i find a bellcrank for my  application ?  thanks  4-speedfastback , Tim

Return the booster and stick with manual brakes. The booster doesn't increase the line pressure, it only lowers the pedal effort and adds one more point of failure into the system.

Thats what I thought.......the "correct" booster is very hard to come by...sucks that they reboxed it.

Anyhoo, the bell crank linkage is not reproduced.  You will have to find it used  (as I did)

Heres a pic of the power booster plate & my setup with the correct booster.
