I knew why you were wanting to exclude the mods, and it makes sense, but then there is a reason they are a mod.

They have information to give, and its insightful. Plus having met most of them, I can say that everyone of them that I've met so far is very friendly in person.

There are a few people on this board that when they post I make sure to read it, and then I'll admit that there are some people who when they post, I make sure to scroll down past it.

i gotta go with nacho too........he's a godsend to all 3rd gen owners.

:yesnod:  :yesnod:    :angel   :I think Chryco is too. Notice how these two are very helpful. They do not waste thier time being idiots by picking on people and being negative. Instead they, share thier knowledge and have a good time.

There are some very recognizable people to me personally that probably don't stand out in general such as 8WHEELER, 472 R/T SE, Wakko (which I haven't seen for a while)

You know Curtis, there truely are so many here, that of the top of my head, I just couldn't think of them all. But 8WHEELER, 472 R/T SE, Wakko are definatly on top of my list too. Not to take anything away from Dan and Ian, Mike (472 R/T SE) has truely been a insperation to me to go through what he has, and keeps plugging. I'm not sure I could even do that myself.

Jeeze' Pete, I guess I'm just chopped liver.  :icon_smile_sad: :bawling:

Most recognizable group. "The Kansas Mafia."

Eventually you will all move to Kansas and buy our parts.  :D
If I run out of parts in NY I might have to   Chryco,Natcho ,Troy, Brock Sampson&BB1 and others have all been a lot of help ,helping me put this thing back together after being apart for 10-15 years,Thanks for all the great reading and tips.

Chryco is the only one here who gets my respect. Too many people here just quote books but don't have actual experience.

After 20 years of wrenching and owning at least 11 Chargers, sometimes I enjoy "educating" people by answering their Charger questions. Other times I feel someone should be paying me for all of the great free advise I give, especially since I learned it the hard way. :scratchchin:

Well I'd say that the most recognizable member of this site are 2 of the mods.

Gene, and Chris.

Then again how can this thread make it 2 pages and no one mentioned Ghoste, who has had 1,000's of posts in every category.

Danny, I don't deserve being mentioned -- even as part of the Mods, since I chime in the least of all of them.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Thanks, though!!!

Chryco should write a book, and we could all quote from it.  ;D

Seriously, the guy has enough knowledge to write a few volumes. I've had the pleasure of seeing the guy in action and I was amazed at all the "off the cuff" knowledge and tricks he has.

Ron is right up there too. I'd really hate to lose either of them.

To the general public?  Probably Kenny Wayne Shepard.    Is he still here?

I was just about to dig up this same topic a few days back, as I am begining to think that my mail man reads these post too. Either that or someone was pulling my leg with their post about a check being in the mail. Either that or he thought that I had bad eye sight.

Many people are pretty recognizable to me actually. I think over the past few years I've probably met around 50 people from the site. And many of them I see at multiple shows.

I'm still checking the mailbox daily for that CD of all the pictures from Vance's shop back in April...   And here all this time I thought it was just my mailman that was messing up.

Not that anyone is looking for (or needs) your gold stamp of approval  :D  but there are several knowledgable engine builders on this site who offer good solid technical advice....and i can assure you those words of wisdom are not paraphrased from magazine articles.  :icon_smile_big:

You got my vote, Ron.  You're the only one that responds to all of the exhaust questions and the cam questions and the to stroke or not to stroke questions and the almighty "How much horsepower does my stock 440 have?"

Cheers to you, Ron

Poor firefighter.... yes your knowledge of camshafts and engine geometry is quite useful...
It's your incessant and undying love for the edelbrock heads that still irritates me.

I'd say Chryco for obvious reasons, been around longer than me, probably posted more "helpful answers" as far as technical mechanical threads than anyone else by a large margin.
