figured some of you may like to see what i do when i'm not messing with MOPARS. I have always loved antique Farm tractors and equipment....it seems like if these machines could talk they would have so much to tell...and how at one time it was a way of life that has basically been long since forgotten....this summer i am going to start working 40 acres of land my grandfather gave me and my brother when he passed on. The Farmall H in the pics i just picked up this weekend and the "M" was my grandpas tractor that i inherited....
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Those look pretty cool. Are parts hard to get for them?
There's a guy on my commute home who restores old tractors, He usually puts a couple a year up for sale when he's finished. I'll try to remember to snap some pics next time I see 'em.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Cool tractors. The Ag-Mechanics class at my high school restored a '47(?) Farmall M to sell to raise money for the FFA several years ago. The Ag-mechanics class I was in my senior year 2 years ago bought a '52 John Deere to restore but they still havent finished it yet.
Heres what I do in my spare time when the Charger is not taking up the little extra $$$ I have. I buy and sell (mostly buy) old band t shirts. Heres a pic of a few in the collection.

gotta love them old Farmalls.  Would like to get my hands on a lot of old tractors some day.
Its no disgrace being poor.  Its just inconvienient.

axlerod

I dig tractors too!  :yesnod: I've got a 52 Ford 8N, a JD 4600 and, my favorite, a JD 450B Dozer. I can't tell you how much fun I have pushing things around with the Dozer. What a stress reliever. I've got twenty acres and I've put a lot of hours on it and still have plenty left to do.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Thisw is a picture of my other hobby. I have collected antique Japanese Samuari swords for the last ten years. This is one of my glass cases that is in my office at the house. The oldest one I have at this time is around 600 years old. There are a few I've sold in the past that I wish I had back. Started as a pastime since I ran a Judo dojo in a small town here in Missouri and I have kept adding to the collection.

Wow, really nice Farmalls for sure.  Lots of people in Winthrop Maine like to parade them around in various parades around here.  They really look awesome and people spend a lot of time and energy fixing them up.

Since we got off subject a little my other hobby is wood working.  Kind of taught myself over the last few years.  I always said I would have a wood shop when I was younger.  It's the other half of my garage, but hey, I got it. :icon_smile_big:

Here's one I just finished this morning and some other pics if ya'll don't mind.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

they both run great, I think the H needs a new needle and seat but for now it runs great. The M has a "super M kit" as i've been told, which is basically lower gears in the rear end to give it the "pull" of a Super M. I have alot of fond memories surrounding the M as it was my grandfathers tractor that we used to bale hay with.
