I have a 73 Charger I am doing a SuperBee with.  I really like the 70 Coronet Bee Tail stripe with the Suoer BEE in it much better than the 71 stripe that wraps around the cowl.  Has anyone used that stripe on a 3rd Gen Charger?  will it work?  any input would be appreciated, the car is going in for paint today so I have  afew months for the final decision.

Here are some pics from the third gen board about tail stripes with some pics.

I like the pic of the tan orange one with the white tail stripe.  It looks pretty good in my opinion.  It also looks like it has some white stripes or something on the hood.  Would'nt mind seeing some pics of this car.

The super bee logo might be out because of the rear marker light in the way.

Any one else have any pics of third gens with tail stripes?

I'd be concerned about 2 things -- the bee logo conflicting with the marker, and any (if at all) contouring that may exist in a reproduction stripe for a different car.

I love the bee stripe. I'm putting one on my '71 after much debate with myself. In the end, contrary to some opinion, I think the stock stripe actually hides the awesome third gen lines.

However, all that being said -- there are many bee stripes on third gens that I haven't liked -- most of them really -- but mine had one when I bought it and I really liked the size, position and angle (well, straight bottom to top, wrapping down to the trunk and straight across).

I'm going to do mine by just purchasing the raw material. Using some 1" masking tape I found that straight material run up and down to make a nice straight bee stripe works great. Go from bottom to top -- and let it wrap around the top of the quarter as it lies. With a straight stripe across the trunk meeting there. If that makes any sense.

As far as size, I'm going one inch either side of the marker for the center wide stripe, and a one inch gap outside that on either side for the thin stripes (1" wide themselves as well).

Anyhow - to each his own -- just what I've found works nicely.

What colour is your car? Nice white stripe with this simply placed on top in the right spot would be sharp....

thanks for the opinions, I will have to wait until i get home to view the pics but possibly a custom stripe with the bee emblem installed or just a stripe with no Circle Bee.
