Well it was a beautiful day to take a halfer and go to a car cruise.

Met up with 1970GTX Jim and went for a drive.        It would have been better if he'd let me know he was gonna do a burnout in front of the dodge dealer on the way.     So we stopped by Ehrenberg's house on the way but he wasn't ready to leave yet.     Then I did a burnout leaving his place and temporarily lost my power steering belt.

2. Anyway,   we got there on time and set up camp...
3.   and were on the front row...
4.   um.... kinda empty so far.

THE FINAL TOTAL AT THE END WAS 435 VEHICLES  (cars, trucks, bikes).   All the funds went to Katrina relief we were told.

Hey Brian,

Nice photos, Thanks. That '79 Red Express has less than 25K original miles, & is owned by a friend of mine in Newburgh. It's as original as can be, except for the ram hood ornament he added years ago. (He kind of regrets that now.) He was driving past the dealership in Newburgh back then & saw it coming off the delivery truck & stopped. The truck was promised to another customer who was waiting for a long time, but never left a deposit. He bought it & the waiting customer missed out & bought a Chrysler 300 (Cordoba) instead. If I'm not mistaken, the guy who missed out on it still has the 300 in mint condition. Sometimes they were both parked together at a local cruise & are friends too.

Nice pics Brian. I couldn't get out of work on time. We had a major car fire in the parking lot, and it took out 5 other cars. I never would have gotten there for the show. Any 70's? Any tags?  :icon_smile_big:

Sorry  about that Chris...   everybody seemed to be have a good time.   But the place filled up between 5 and 6.   Then it starts emptying out as soon as it gets dark... the bikes leave first.    We didn't leave till 9 somethingish,  went to the diner.  I got home just before midnight.

Anyhoo... Only correct model year ('69) Chargers showed up   :icon_smile_big: .  4 total.

Bob,  thanks for the info on the Little Red  -  Jim knows them.   It was a nice truck.  They got a trophy.   I got stung on my lip by a bee that flew into my pepsi can  :P

I didn't take any tag pics...    I assume that the hemi 500 is already on your listing.   And the KMAN's car didn't have the hood up anyway  (I'm don't know who he is,  that's what was on the window sheet).   That leaves me and Hemidoug and you already got my sh8t  :P

Feel free to upload this pic to the registry for me tho  :yesnod:

There's another good reason to drink beer. The only downside would be a breathalyzer if you got pulled over for doing burnouts. ::) :icon_smile_big:

Anyway, thanks for sharing the pics!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
