Anyone who has installed the Keisler TKO trans kit into a 68-70 Charger or B-body did you have to cut any on the trans tunnel or anywhere else for it to fit?

I am ready to buy a trans now and I would like to go with a TKO600.
Is there any other companies selling kits like these that I should look into?
I dont want to do any cutting on the floor.

The floor pan(transmission tunnel) itself needs to be cut and a piece welded in. Its reall not that big of a deal though. IMO

They supply the piece that needs to be welded in. Im told its generally a easier swap if your car is a 4 speed (just what i have heard not personal experience)

I made a new tunnel.  I think it would have fit with some heavy hammer swinging but if you have to break out the welder - might as well replace the whole thing - now I have lot's of room to adjust the rear mount up and down if needed.  I "squared" out the back a little to match the transmission.

I went with Classic Motorsports Group.  They had a $500 off special around X-mas.

Yes you have to cut a small hole. Keep the piece you cut out if you worry about changing it back in the future. Not relly a big deal. Well worth the work though. BEt money spent o far.

It's a 600 - it better be.  I checked all the part #'s and whatnot.  What's the difference from the outside?
