The Charger in the first pic is yours, right? Nice ride!
I dig the black wheels, I always liked black wheels, I want black wheels  :yesnod:
I know it's a tough decision, so make the right one (= the ones YOU like the most)
Good luck buddy!

OK. I am asking if anyone else agrees with me. Coys? I think Boyd Coddington would agree that he is being ripped off.  The Coys C-5 is Boyds first Smoothie. The C-55 is Boyds Junk Yard Dog and the C-57 is Boyds Magneto. If there is any styling difference it's minor at best. Even Coys Logo on the center cap is a rip-off of Boyds. Even Coys sounds like Boyds. Personally I would go with the original designer and not the cloner. I haven't checked prices between the two makers but at the end of the day your car would be wearing the wheel equivalent of a cubic zirconia diamond. In my humble, yes, humble opinion. I know wheels are expensive and you could actually save some money but personally I would reward an originator every time VS a cloner!

I was seriously looking into a set of Coys, but several people have said that they're extremely heavy and cast in China.  If you want the style that's fine, but as for me, I'm saving up some more $$ to get the same look in a lighter forged aluminum wheel.  The more I see those wheels on the "Xtreme" Lee, the more I like them.   Any idea how they're made?

The rims on the "Xtreme" Lee are American Racing Cobra Polished (Series 427P)
2-piece polished alloys. I just bought mine today, it takes 4 weeks to make.  :icon_smile_sad: I got 18X10 with 5.5 back space 18X8 with 4.5 back space. (18X10 = $300) (18X8 = $265) with TOYO ST tires 255-45-18 ($150 each) 295-45-18 ($200 each) I traded in some 20" tires I had around the garage and my total came close to $1700  :icon_smile_tongue: I don't think that is too much money considering the replacement tires for my 22" Viper truck rims was going to cost me $1200 installed. The other look a like cobra rims are Coy's and are $20 cheaper. and are shaped diffrent, you just have to look close to see it.

I hope they fit I got all the demitions from this site. The only thing I'm worried about is the front tires, Some on said a 27 inch tire on the front will fit but may require a little "LOVE" on the front fenders. I was trying to go with a 255-40-18 (26inch) on the front but they don't sell them.

I would of got the red lines but they only have one size
??? There is a company on line that will make any red line but the cost is more than I paid for the rims.  :-\

PS: Yes the first car is mine, I cant Waite for the body shop to start working on her. When done I will show pics after accident and after.

Wow that's awesome, great choice on the sizes.  I'm thinking about the 18x9.5 in the rear, so let me know how those 10s work.  I'm debating a 7" wide 18" rim or 17" rim for the fronts.  I hear some 17s limit big-brake kits that I'd like to do in the future, but i want to give the car some rake, so I have yet to decide.  Definitely post pics when the wheels/tires come in!

I hate to burst your bubble, but the Xtreme Lees Wheels are a one off "Vector" style rim made by Budnik. They were made to look like the original American Racing 10 spoke Vector wheel.
As soon as I saw Kenny Wayne Shepards Xtreme Lee being restored on the TV show Rides,  I called Budnik Wheels,  who made the new one offs  (as well as the steering wheel)... Budnik sales reps told me that There wasn't any talk about manufacturing these rims. I really want those as well.

To be honest, I do not think Boyd Coddington would care, considering he does not own Boyd Coddington Wheels any longer  ;).

Dag you waited intill now to burst my bubble  :icon_smile_dead:   I didn't know that,   I looked at the pic of the car and compared it to the ones form American racing and they looked the same. That explains why when I order them today I ask for a plan center cap, I don't want the spinier. They told me it only comes with the spinner but they would send several different center caps, so maybe I can find one that fits.  :rotz: I went with American racing because there rim shows more lip, and the Coy's don't. Nothing is more cool than a fat Lip.

The main thing I noticed, is that the price of Boyds went way down. That was a good thing.

Let me say it like this:
I run a bodyshop and paint cars for a living
If i had a photo gallery of cars showing great paint work, would it be right to throw in some pic´s of great looking cars that someone else have painted and have my customers believe i have painted them??

PS: And i will be shearing some new pic´s of my charger soon.
