Wow, maybe it's just been too long since I had to shop for a rad?  I still think that unless I was trying to do a numbers match A12 or Hemi car, that sort of thing, I'd still get whatever aftermarket I could.  I can't picture a 1200 cooler in front of my old non matching 383, you know what I mean?

While on the radiator subject......

Got to the local parts store and try to buy a 26" radiator for your Charger. Modine quit stocking their good 26" radiator #374 for $325, which had some semblance to the mopar factory radiator. Just hung up with the guy at Napa, and he says he can "special order" it for $435 + freight + taxes.

The guy at Glen Rey at one time said a blank (no numbers) version of the factory radiator was being considered, with a $500 price tag being kicked around.

Thats what I have/had an original Modine I got new about 4 years ago.  Cost $300 IIRC

PS---shameless plug..... ;)  Get it while the gettin's good!

Here's a thought, forget the correct radiators and just worry about keeping the engine cool...If someone has that kind of time and money to make "correct" radiators, they need to sit down and realize 1)  It can only be original once anyway...2) the radiator has already been invented. 3) Maybe I (they) should make rear quarters for 71-72 Chargers.  YA,YA  :icon_smile_big:

I agree. So if you get a bunch of repo parts and get numbers to look like factory it is original....i think not.  I could see maybe 400. for one and In the long run you would get your money back. Try to do a quick recoup or get rich thing could backfire.

I do agree that the price makes you pay attention but what doesn't when it comes to these cars and hard to find parts...$1,000 grills, consoles, and fenders are the norm now. I doubt that the guy making these had any intentions of trying to sell a "limited" production # part to people that are not concerned with numbers or originality. That is were the Autozone, Modine, or the aluminum radiator guys win out on volume.  Expecting these to sell for less than a recore at your local shop is not going to happen IMO.

#2 - Point is ?

Does anybody make a 22"  aluminum radiator that is even a little close to the original look? I just don't care for the polished aluminum look. But, you can't beat aluminum"s cooling ability.
