Good find (nascarXX29)  :yesnod:  i just goes to show what is still could be hidden away . pity it wasn't still wearing the original color's & equipment , to photograph & document ,  then returned to original  speck if desired .
    i wonder  what the fender tag  reads :scratchchin: & is it on the superbird list ........ :popcrn:

John Moran mentioned in the press release and photo was the EPA connection to the car.  Earlier in 1970, he was the liason to Nichels Engineering when he worked for Dow Chemical, sponsor of the #99 Daytona.    Ray bought the car that was turned into the test car locally in Indiana in 1972.  It was used, but with only about 1300 miles, and the seller made money on the deal!

Okay, now I know which book.  I don't have a problem with them promoting it that way, I'll be interested to read the Ray Nichels story anyway.
