Well exactly my plan! How so you ask! well let me tell you

if we can convert all the teams over to dodge guess who wins every time!!!

The70RT

I agree with pettyfan43. NASCAR is going down hill. This was the first year at Kansas Speedway they didn't sell all their tickets. From not letting water bottles come in to having to buy the race package to be able to get any tickets at all is lame. Still the indy cars had a weak crowd. I bought a sprayfan bottle there a couple years ago and the next day I couldn't bring it back in? Maybe they thought I might have alcohol in it. This year you could bring in water and a six pack cooler. There beer is 42.00 a six pack inside. :rotz:

I am sure some of you have seen this on Jayski. PRS is a fool if they switch to Toyota now. I can not believe they would even consider teaming up with Waltrip. There is no one I cheer for more not, to make the race, than Mikey. Personally, I can not stand the guy. After they are doing so well with Dodge this year, I just don't get it.

And then if Stewert goes to Toyota, can you emagine the fans that will bail on him too.

I realize these are just talks, and nothing has been set in stone. But Jayski is not bad when it comes to rumors, and what is going on behind closed doors.

From Jayski.com. . . Toyota: Gibbs? Penske merge with Waltrip? Yates? Toyota, sources said, has approached the Gibbs team with a proposal to leave Chevrolet, which would give it #20-Tony Stewart, #11-Denny Hamlin and #18-J.J. Yeley. Gibbs' management doesn't appear to be that interested, but the offer hasn't been rejected, according to team sources. Penske [#2, #12], who has been with just about every manufacturer in racing over the years and who is one of the world's biggest Toyota dealers, could be making the move to Toyota for next year. According to sources close to the situation, Penske could be looking at a merger with Michael Waltrip's struggling Toyota operation. And there is speculation that Robert and Doug Yates [#38, #88] may be willing to listen to Toyota offers, even though they have long-standing ties with Ford.(5-31-2007)

If that happens NASCAR ratings will be so low they will be giving tickets away! When the tv ratings take a real dump maybe they will wake up.

I don't see JGR moving to any other manufacturer anytime soon, theyre already with the dominant one. Why fix it if it ain't broke? PRS...would make sense given Roger's interests, but again...that'd be a step down, even if Dodge isn't exactly great now.

I do see RYR doing it though. At this point they need to try anything.

hmmm RYR decided to stick with Ford. That leaves PRS and Ganassi - I think the latter is still more likely to switch over.

PS - Today is "Mikey goes Home" day...3 pm eastern / 12 Pacific.

Not me. I just do not like the guy, he rubs me the wrong way. He seems fake to me when the cameras are on. But thats just my opinion.

My man Newman has the pole again. I only hope he doesn't shove a piston through his block like last week. That was a pisser. :P

Now if he can remember how to drive

I hope he doesn't accidentally pull into pit road after 2 laps and gets out of the car...

BTW - what the hell did they feed the 'yotas this week? 5 out of 7 made it in (usually 5 out of 7 don't) and they all qualified right next to each other.

Actually I will say that I met Mikey in 92. He really is a great guy. Lot of fun to talk to. Kyle Petty is my favorite driver I have met. He's just a cool guy who spends time with people.

They said during the 600 that the yotas had a new engine combo designed to give them more low end grunt. That is what they have been missing. Could be a LONG last half of the season.

One of the guys on my fire department has worked for NASCAR the last 20 years as a fireman, EMT. He works at 25-30 races a year. And he is the supervising fireman at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I have heard many stories from him about the two faces of Mikey. He has told me the public does not see the side that is a real a-hole. A couple years ago Mikey was in an accident. He was not happy with the response time from the rescue crew, and began to argue with them in the garage area. Apparently, Mikey punched one of the firemen and broke his nose to show his displeasure with the crew.

And to be fair, I have heard many drivers have two sides to them as well.

As far as Kyle, my co-worker was able to have the wife and I meet Kyle at last years Brickyard. He is a true gentleman, just as nice as can be. He is one of our favorites as well.

I've heard that before about Michael.  But I can say he was nice to me and the guys I was with when I met him. I just hate yoyotas. I know and we've been through that before. I still don't have any use for em!
Don't worry about arguing with me about it , YEP I'm closed minded about it. I don't like em to begin with and they D@#N shouldn't be making laps at Bristol! Just my opinion I could be wrong (But I'm not  ;D ;D ) And your mileage may vary!

You will not get any arguement from me. I do not want Toyota in NASCAR either. I feel it should be the "Big Three" and that is it.

he probably will. Even though Toyota's figured out how to get more power out of the engines, they still havent figured out how to do so without them blowing up.
