At least you got the pic, that's the most important part. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I'm taking a wild stab at this but... I am thinking there may have been some re-tooling or production changes at the plants at some point.  Perhaps these were to allow access for a spot welder or other mechanized/manual piece of equipment to reach the inner sheetmetal in order to spot weld something that may have previously been bolted from under the dash near that location (or the other way around) Does it line up with anything under the dash area?

BWWwahahahaha!!!  Khyron!  :haha:

For all we know, some executive needed to put two relatives to work in a real job.... "Okay... "You punch a hole in it here and you put the plug in it." They just needed extra hours the day they did your car.

Could it be for the speedometer cable on a cruise controlled car?
I used to own a mopar because it was different, but now I know better.

i wonder if they had an update, or something with the wiper transmissiom{linkage} or something. maybe the dealer did it. maybe the seral numbers are close on these cars. or maybe build dates? if theres a bulliton on, it would usally cover a certain few.

Oohh...that one has a wire coming out of it too, instead of just a blind plug. :scope:

I have that plug in mine too.  No wire coming out though.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Wire looks like it is/was after factory? Looks to be taped near master cylinder.

Khyron , I`ll bet those holes in your cowl were done for a fresh air intake. The cowl is a high pressure area. There was a 66 hemi charger featured in a couple mags a while back that had the same holes.

The rest of the theories ,if it was for tooling to fit through would that not be on the early 68 cars?

Steve P.

Khyrons holes look more like they were cut into it for roll bars..  Rather excessive though.

Here's another thought, what if it was just a mistake from the stamping plant and some got out before it was caught?  It happens.
