it has a ZZ4 350 in there.  The exhaust that is on it is crapola. Looking for suggestions on headers, pipe diameter, mufflers.
I want it loud as hell! Not looking for any smooth flowing, rumble, ford mustang sounding stuff please.
It's a prostreet, show car mainly, but i don't want it to be a trailer queen any longer, so this summer it's on like donkey kong.

Thanks for the help and suggestions as always.
Here's a pic of what we are dealing with, although i'm sure a lot have already seen it on here before.

thanks again

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

run some 3" tubes with dynomax race bullet mufflers. If that dont get it loud enough you need open headers.

cant help you on the choice of the headers though. i dont do chevys

i had them on a car of mine. stock earplugs in the car for any driving over 4 miles. cause your ears will bleed. haha

Crapola?

I haven't heard of that brand of exhaust systems. Is it Italian? Whats wrong with it.

Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

it's just junk, the headers have a collector leak but i cannot find the right gasket to repair it, weird, it's a 4 bolt system and i guess they don't make it anymore.  The exhaust is about 1 inch in diameter(i'm lying but it's small) so i just want to redo the whole thing.  it detracts from the car when you open the hood.

Maybee its just the muffler bearings that are bad.

It's a tri-5 with a SBC.   You have a choice of anything you'd like already made up and ready to go.   Only thing easier would be like a 1st gen Camaro or Stang.
That being said,  I see Pypes at a lot of swap meets, car shows, etc.  http://www.pypesexhaust.com/  They're making polished stainless systems now for cars like yours.  I won't say they're the absolute best exhaust but for the $ they're not bad from what I've seen.    Looks like a nice car - congrats.

Brian,
Yes you are correct it's like a belly button, but i have to have the engine hugger style headers and i think i've narrowed it down.  My car is slammed to the ground in front so i can't just run any old headers on there unfortunately.   Has anyone ever heard of Super Sunny products.  Here's the ad

I'll just bend some pipe to fit those and go with some dynomax bullits for some ear bleeding ricochet and then some turn downs and that should probably do it. I'm sure the police will have a ball with me this summer.

Maybe I should do a system with some cut outs.  The electric ones are $299 for the pair.  That would be so sweet, roll up to a light all thwapitty thwap and then open em up to some ear pounding drag car sounding straight out the header noise makers.  Now that's what i'm talking about.
