My dad just phoned and he said he found a 72-74 AMC Javelin SST in the bushes by my school. Its apperentley green with a black stripe down the side and black vinyl top. He also said that its all there. Anybody know what these things were worth?

Not enough information to really make a guess.  What engine does it have?  Trans type?  What is the real condition:  OK from 10 ft. away, or totally rotted out underneath?

There is a guy in our local Mopar club building one with a KILLER 440 and 727.    Unfortunately the driveline came from his Prostreet 74 Cuda that burned to the ground because an oil line ruptured

Looks like the AMC is gonna be a COOL ride though!

The last javelin or AMX worth buying is the 71 with a 401 4spd, those looked pretty nice and had pretty nice performance, but I'd much rather get a 69 or 70 AMX with a 390 instead.  The 71 model got much bigger, wider, and wasn't quite as hot.  It was also a 4 seater.  Value? Estimated...without doing any research whatsoever, maybe 6k to 10k in good condition, since it is a 72-74 model which wasn't the hotrod the 71 may have been.  Restored one may be worth 15k but only a purist would pay that much for one and AMC didn't have that many followers.  Saw a Rambler Scrambler only go for 15k at BJ.  (it was the one with the first snorkel hood scoop)
