74 Duster upgrades

While I've got the Duster torn appart, I'd like to give the 727 auto a shift kit and the 81/4 rear end a new sure grip unit. Are these available new? If so, where do I start looking? Any help always appreciated....Thanks..

you can get a shift kit from summit or ebay, wherever you find the cheapest... 8 1/4 suregrips are available new, but I would go searching 80's cop cars and find one.

shift kits are pretty easy to put together.  the instructions are pretty straightforward.  you will need to remove your valve body from the trans.  if you have questions, let me know.
