Wow my buddy would be droolin if he saw this, we may have to take a road trip there sometime!

TheAutoArchaeologist

Yes, I live 5 minutes from there.  I know the people there, they are very expensive.  I have pictures from there, but can't show them at this time.

It is near were my son went to college, to say there prices are high would be an understatement.  I was near there and thought I would pick up a used 340, any small block, single point Dist.  They quoted me $40.  I told them I could get a brand new one at the parts store for half of that, they said ok , you can have it for $20 but it's worth more because it vintage :rotz:
1969 Dodge Charger 500 440/727
1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

I would not expect good prices from any specialty salvage yard.  Mopar only yards are no exception.  If they had good prices..... they would sell parts faster than they could replenish them.

i was just curious........i know a guy who used to work for him
i am originally from the stockton / mount carroll illinois area

ive only had one dealing with him, he tried selling me a" rust free " quater for my 67 for like 1200.00.......the car was a rusty , bondoed up  turd, said that that was as rust free as i was going to find(dvap has  a nice one with no rust  for 800)

i wonder if him and hlpag are buddies

anyway,  i was screwing off yesterday and see that the website was finally up .......i was just trying to see if  he thought i was a sucker, orhe screws everyone else too
his freinds say he even screws them

the real sad thing ,is that some of them cars are  supposedly southern cars that were picked up and set there so long they are rotted out now

DAMN COOKS.....LOL

I currently go to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb IL.  It is right down the road from me.  If anyone needs me to go check something out, let me know.  My RamCharger is dead at the moment, but within the next week or so, I'll be back up and running.

Devil, I also go to NIU, kinda wierd seein a person that goes to school out here on the boards. You livin' out here or do you commute? Anyway, I cant believe how many times I've driven within a mile of that place goin' out to the tracks in Byron and never knowing it existed. I definetly have to go out there and check it out now.

TheAutoArchaeologist

I currently live in DeKalb, I'm over in Suburban Estates over off of Twombly.  Can't miss my big blue 93 RamCharger.

Check out on my site "DeKalb" to see some of the cars I know about locally..... and for some from Mopar City, the Mopar City ones are on the second page.

Wow, I cant believe all that is around here, I never really go on the backroads anywhere though, so that could be why. Im off of Hillcrest and Fotis, so basically next door to you. I'll have to keep an eye out for a blue ramcharger now. I have a green 98 Cherokee but I think about a 1/4 of the school has one too so it doesn't really stand out. At least it's kind of a MOPAR.....

TheAutoArchaeologist

Can't miss my truck, only RamCharger on the whole campus.  Drop me a line sometime, I can show you a few stashes out this way.

I live in Woodstock, IL about an hour and a half from Mopar City.   I would only buy from them as a last resort.   I've paid dearly for the few parts I've gotten from him....Brian
