It is frustrating for me to see people like us jumping down each others throats in response to a post.  This forum is for people who are alike in many ways, but completely different in others.  I hope that when someone rubs us the wrong way, we can think for a minute before we respond.  I'm no humanist, FTW as far as I'm concerned, but this place I come to to relax.  It's turning out that more and more of us are stressed and cannot deal with a forum.  Just wanted to post my two cents, now come and get me :icon_smile_blackeye:

Like when me and Bull had that big fight on this diecast car topic. I posted about these cool diecast cars and long story, short. He started calling me pansie, etc. But I think we worked it out.

I hate it when I ask for info on what I want to do with my charger and someone says that is a stupid idea.

Troy

You're not the only one to notice. As a matter of fact I wrote something similar yesterday.

We had a situation like this around the same time last year. I wonder if it can be attributed to the winter blues (or whatever it is that affects people when it's cold out)? Our traffic always goes up in the winter months which tells me people have fewer other things to occupy themselves. It also means there are more people around and more opinions to deal with in a shorter amount of time. I guess arguing in the virtual world keeps them from being bored but it certainly makes things more difficult for others.

Two things you can do: Point it out (in a nice way of course) and use the "Report to Moderator" link that is on each post. Hopefully neither is necessary but that's the way it goes.

On occasion I get a very short fuse when it comes to certain attitudes so I voice my opinion. Maybe it's the weather as Troy stated, maybe it's because I've a stomach virus right now, maybe I just get annoyed when people say stupid things over and over. I have little tolerance for 69bronzeT5 right now because he lied to the entire board in his first post here. IMO he can't be trusted... yet.

Is it always wrong to call someone to the carpet? Are we supposed to just let everyone run amok with no accountability? I let lots of stuff slide but sometimes I just think certain people need to be told they are full of it. I'm not the moral leader here but I do get bent out of shape enough sometimes to say some things to certain people. IMO if someone has the freedom to lie or dis someone's car then someone else has the same right to shut them up. I guess that is considered fueding but I don't always see it that way.

I know I come off as an a-hole sometimes, but I am a jokester.  It's hard to know what someone is thinking, because you guys don't know me so for now on I will let you know I'm joking by saying...lol

Sometimes I have to tell myself to "Just Laugh".  I've noticed as I get older, I'm telling myself that more and more each day.  I guess from here on out, when someone gets sore at me for a post, I'll just laugh and let them enjoy the stress...cuz I sure as hell aint gonna get bent over it no more. :icon_smile_wink:

Now thats some good s_it there ! What do you guys think about a moderator (wont mention which at THIS time) of the site calling a fellow member a "Freeloader" for the simple act of using the site alone. He also continued to go on further by saying how clueless I was compared to him and his ability to be a moderator on the site, and the fact that he owns and runs several other websites.Would'nt that make us all "Freeloaders" just for the simple fact that we are on the site and do not pay anything to make it exist or do anything to maintain it. I feel if it was'nt for us "Freeloaders",there would be no reason for this site to exist. Now this all started becaused he and another "wont be mentioned" member did not like the offer(s) I made to him on a vehicle for sale.He was insulted I guess,WAAAHH! If ANYONE is interested or has an opinion,I will PM you the conversation, and you can be the judge. I have little tolerance for control freaks, you'll find after reading the post.He may not agree, but I feel he was put in his place, easily at that.Lets see what you all think. I can handle pretty much anything anyone has to say,the good the bad and the ugly. I feel I was basically singled out, atleast MUCH of his attention was directed mainly to me,even after sending him a PM of others being WAY out of line to someone asking a simple question about a car in an ad and how stupid they were for asking it.Winter weather must leave him with nothing better to do as well! If someone hits you,you better hit'em harder,or just shut up and stay down !

First of all, grasshopper you must learn to kiss the mods ass not bash them.  I can also say that with all those exclamation points you seem like a hlpag, but you can spell so I'm not sure.lol

Troy

Someone just goofed.

What our good friend Gilbie has failed to mention is that he's been warned several times about his behavior in the Classifieds. Poor Gilbie felt that he was singled out for being a jerk. I attempted to explain to him that others have been called out for the same things that he was doing but he felt special and that he shouldn't need to follow rules - especially if others broke them as well. He even felt the need to point out where he felt others had crossed the line. If you notice that the Classifieds are now locked it's because of all the cleanup I've had to do on his behalf. As a matter of fact, he only posts in the Classifieds but never to buy anything - only to criticize and humiliate. Any comments I made to him were *after* I explained rather nicely that he really should play nice with others and stop insulting them. I made it abundantly clear that we have rules and that it would certainly be nice if people followed them. I bent over backwards to explain my reasons for doing so. I did NOT call him out publicly or ridicule him as he likes to do with others. I didn't delete his car for sale ad after he insulted everyone who replied. I did not even kick his ignorant, ungrateful, insolent rear end off the site when he went on his rampage about how much it sucked because it was too complicated to repost a picture!

Of course, I also tried to impress upon him that I really don't need to explain my actions and that he agreed to the Terms and Conditions of the site when he registered. It is only because I like to keep people informed that I even wasted my time with an explanation (and yes, it was a complete waste of my time and I'm very short on time these days). The context of my "freeloader" comment was that perhaps he should try to contribute to the community (much like everyone else) instead of criticize and tear it down at every opportunity. I never mentioned money - only trying to make the site a better place. There's no need to send PMs - I will be more than happy to post the entire exchange for everyone to read and make up their own minds. There's probably no need - just read the 3rd to the last sentence and you'll see how he feels about others on the site.
QuoteI feel I was basically singled out... even after sending him a PM of others being WAY out of line to someone asking a simple question about a car in an ad and how stupid they were for asking it.

He should take his own advice:
