You think that the better team won the game last night? San Diego moved the ball at will on New England. Then gave up on the run. I think that is what had LT so pissed off at the end of the game. He had 17 carries at the half, wound up with 23. And that is on a team that was winning until 2 minutes to go.

mikepmcs

Well, they are both very good teams so I will have to say that yes the better team last night won the game. :icon_smile_big:
Ok, I'm biased too.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

69_500

So you guys think that the Colts would have rather played a team that has a Quarter back that is 12-1 in the playoffs, versus a team that had the leagues MVP?

nh_mopar_fan

I think the Colts would rather not play the team that has Manning has lost to twice now in the playoffs.

If you looked at the match-up, the Chargers probably owned most of them.

The Pats had the better QB and coach. They also had experience and those intanglibles.

So where was Merriman? He disappeared. The pass rush was no where to be found. The Pats O-line was huge.

Then you add in the STUPID penalties. The strip by Troy Brown on the INT. All the Charger has to do is fall down. STUPID.

Then, on top of it all, you have LT whining after the game that some Pats players were celebrating after the game and mocking Merriman's stupid dance.

In the end, the message is this, never over-estimate a Shottenheimer coached team.

mikepmcs

What he said.   Also If I were the colts, heck ya i'd rather play the team without Tommy in the mix.  Cause he's more than capable of doing what he did last night every time he goes out. I remember a guy #16 for the 49ers who Mr Brady reminds of.

Oh yeah he was #3 on my other favorite team too.

i dont think any of the teams have been the better teams.......i have yet to see a playoff caliber offensive game this year in the playoffs ....except maybe the saints........have you ever seen such crappy qb play????

As a San Diego native that was raised on hating every LA team, right back at ya Mo.  :boxing_smiley:

It's a SoCal thing people.  :-*

I never really had any serious animosity for the Chargers, but having grown up in L.A. a Raiders and Rams fan, I never did hold them in very high esteem. Then it all changed about a month ago and I really began to hate them. I had to drive to Tijuana on some family bussiness...this being the weekend before Christmas, I got stuck at the SanYsidro border crossing for 5 hours. Not being in my own car, I didn't have Sirius Satellite Radio, my mp3 player, or any CD's to keep me entertained, so I was forced to listen to the radio - and the only station I could get was a San Diego sports talk station. So for 5 hours I had to listen to Charger fans calling in and gloating about how great the Chargers were and how whichever NFC team made it to the Super Bowl would be no match for them. The worst part was that they, and the host to some extent, were talking as if going to the SB was a given. From that moment on, I decided that they needed to be brought back down to Earth and that I would root for any team that was playing them.

So as you can imagine, it was with great delight that I watched them get Plutoed by New England and LT's post-game meltdown.

which is a joke, because Merriman did his little dance to taunt the other teams...So basically he is stating it is only ok for his team to do that...

I don't know about all this other stuff but I do think Peyton Manning is a top-shelf assclown.

I'm actually predicting Pats 14 over the Colts. :icon_smile_big:

HA-HA    :haha: , my prediction, Colts 41, patsies 10  :icon_smile_blackeye:

that's what Chargers fans were saying a week ago.

If there is one team that is the best  at losing the big games, its the Colts.

Should be a great game. Manning is too good a QB to be made look as bad as he has been by Belichick. Sooner or later, he's going to come out on top.

I'm just hoping it won't be this Sunday.

here ya go:

Tom Brady in Heaven

Tom Brady , after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven,
God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a
faded  Patriots  flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity,
Tom ," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up
here."  Tom  felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house.

On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the
corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a  Blue & White  sidewalk, a
50-foot tall flagpole with an enormous  Colts  logo flag, and in every
window, a  Colts towel.  Tom  looked at God and said
"God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an
all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, a nd I even  won a few Super bowls
God said "So what's your point  Tom ?" "Well, why does  Peyton get a better house than me?"

God chuckled, and said: " Tom , that's not  Peyton's   house, it's mine."

GO  COLTS     :nana: :boogie: :smilielol:

We have the same joke going around here with the names switched.

First time I saw it, Joe Montana and Boomer Esiason were in it.

Congrats to the Colts.

Manning finally did it.

I gotta believe they'll handle the Bears easily.

JimShine

I have to wonder if my recent move from maine to Indianapolis had any bearing on this  :-X

that might be true.  maybe the AFC game was the real superbowl.. :shruggy:

I'm thinking it was.

Either of these teams, as well as SD, could make easy work of Chicago.

Congrats for you and your team Afflyer. I know you have been looking forward to this day. Despite being a Steeler fan, I thought the Colts were the top team last year. Good luck in the Super Bowl.  :2thumbs:
