Is it a myth or real?

What works best for polishing the scratches out of glass.  The rear window on my charger has several light scratches.  Let me know what has worked for you.

Jewellers rouge worked OK for me and got quite a lot of the very fine scratches out.

PS It definitely does work and isnt a myth.  But it only works on light scratches.

Try Crest tooth paste w/a little bit of vinegar oil mixed w/water on the side using a diaper cloth. If needed, us a machine buffer during this procedure as well and if the buffer has a speed rating to it, put it on 1000 rpm speed or 1200 rpm. or medium if not numbered.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

real  :yesnod:   i have good results  polishing out fine scratches  , using any 3m , g3 , etc polishing/ cutting compound  -  with the  electric mop  (buffer )  . even  wet flatting ( blocking ) with 800 to 1000 for  slightly more stubborn scratches , but don't do this bit on a wind shield as it requires extra pressure with the mop &  and with the extra heat building up on the glass ,  there is a real good chance of it cracking,  if you are not experienced  doing this  type of stuff .
