What's the easiest way to remove contact cement? In particular after removing a vinyl roof...

I would try tar and tree sap remover from the local auto store, I like turtle wax brand but I imagine they are all about the same.

Laquer thinner would probably work. Be careful. It can damage your paint.

......whatever you do, do not use laquer thinner on paint it will soften it and you will have a mess!!!

Goof Off.  You can get it at Orchard Supply Hardware, Home Depot, etc.  It comes in a yellow can with red lettering.  I used it to remove the glue from my Charger roof and it worked GREAT!!!

i used brake and clutch cleaner, with a plastic bondo applicator. it worked great and did not attack the paint

3M makes a product called adhesive remover. Made just for this kind of thing. Any paint supplie store should carry it.
