A multi-purpose tire cleaner

Most of you are probably aware of this product.  It's called Westley's Bleche Wite.  (Yes...spelling is correct)  Not only does this stuff do a great job in cleaning white letters/whitewalls on tires.   It cleans just about anything and does a damn good job...For example...most of you who have a Vent-A-Hood above your stove knows how nasty they can get  throughout the course of time.    Well...this stuff will make it like brand new  with very little effort.   It blows away CLR, or any other scale remover that "claims" to be the best.   Try it on something that really has serious build-up.   Best part about it.....it's only about $3.00 a bottle!!!  You'd be surprised!!!   Cleans the shit out of a nasty oily, greasy engine too!!!   With ease!!!   I wouldn't recommend using it straight on any fabric...but it does remove tar  and ink.   Just a heads up on that!!!   Cleans virtually any surface!!!

I will try some, it is safe for your wheels?  I am always looking for detailing tips.  I love Zaino products but they are a bit pricey and you have to order them, I tried them once and retired all my Mcquires products.  I also tried the power ball, that was a waste of money

Really I tried the powerball and it did a great job on the Welds on the Duster.

Dilute it with water for aluminum polished rims.....Don't use it straight...except on the tires themselves.

Awesome stuff. My Dad has been using it since the 50's, I grew up scrubbing white walls for him with the stuff. Just don't spray it into the wind and breathe, the stuff will make you cough and gack for about 5 minutes.

I'm sold! I will try anything once. On my magnum wheels it was real tough to get the polish off with the power ball easier and more efficiant by hand.

I tried the Power Ball-oney too, what a PoS. Put swirls in my swirl-free polished aluminum wheels. I'm going back to polishing the good ol' fashioned way: by hand. Wesley's Bleche White does work good for cleaning tires. Try Spray-Nine, also.

I use meguires until I found these Zano products,  you can only get them at www.zano.com I believe?  They have a leather and vynil cleaner that works great with vynil tops but there wax system is the best I have ever used.

I have used that stuff for years, it does a great job! White letters come clean very easily...if you have not tried it def a must.

I have used it full strength on old door panels,mic dirty parts,etc!Works well,just make sure you have proper ventalation!

works ok on tires but the trick seems to be to keep it off the torque thrusts though the masking is a pain and apply it full streangth on the rubber... wipe quicly with steel wool and quickly remove the redish gunk that collects in the pitts with paper towels. Rrepeated applications seem to help too. You can clean the white letters and white walls ok with Westly's but i find it a pain, smelly and it will ruin your clothing... so I have taken to using "Simple Green"... amazing how strong that stuff is.  Smells pretty good too...
another cleaner i like is the Clorox product "Oxy-Magic", usually that will take off any buildup of anything, but must be kept off the skin.

Ive used wesleys and simple green and find the simple green works as good if not better. I love that stuff.  just my 2cents

i use zaino now and i actually buy it at the auto parts store off the shelf... It replaced my Mcguire's # 7. great stuff, wow!

the most recent vynal top cleaning topic reminded me...
   i have found a great product to clean the raised white letters on tires... 
i was using the westly's bleech white and steel wool and a still brush but there were problems with that getting in on the rims and lots of other crap on the tires comming off and a brown film, streaking  etc.. ... etc..
  so anyhow i have recently found that this product "oops" works extreamly well, i just wet a rag with it and wipe the letters clean...
with theis product oops, sometimes two applications are nessesary but it aviods alot of the bleechwhite  headaches... i'm sure there are similar products out there as well, feel free to chime in on this...

I am a simple green fanatic.....hubby gets the stuff by the 5 gallon container....don't ask how.....I use it for everything (you can even use it in the carpet cleaning machines).  Never used it on the car though...hmmmm gotta try it next.

where do you get the wite stuff?  I'd like to try it once.

I also like to use the Windex lime action muti-surface.  It works like a charm....It removes grease from the engine bay like you would not believe.  It also cleans microwaves that haven't been clean in months with no, I repeat NO elbow grease!  We buy a few bottles at a time and there is always one bottle in the garage for hubby and my own bottle in the house.

This keeps the nasty stuff off the wheels, comes in handy when puttin' shine on too.  I made one out of cardboard complete with a handle and my wife came outside one day and said, "You know they make those?"

I use simple green for cleaning stuff up on my Chally. I've used it for years. That's what we used at the Body Shop I use to work at. I'll have to try the Windex lime actin. Thanks , Wifey.
