The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Great looking '68 and I too am a big fan of Steelies!  They look great black with the black top!

Thanks guys for the props.

Troy I thought the black looked mean and it went well with the roof. Besides I bought the wheels that way.    :icon_smile_big:
And even though it is a stripe delete car, I cannot help but want a black bumble-bee stripe.

CFan you have good eyes. One of the previous owners must have added that very rare option. On my punchlist to remove someday.

Now that you mention it, looking back at it and scanning the complimentary accent of the wheels to the top, you are correct, it does match rather nicely....

Wow, a tri color car. Black vinyl top, with white interior, interesting.

Great looking ride.

Much cleaner engine compartment than my car, that is for sure.

Danny, my '68's like that.. Black top, white interior and dark turquoise paint.. Not sure I can bring myself to putting the black top back on.. ( I can hear it now from the purist.. Eeeeekkkkkkk ) I actually was one in my naive years.....  ::)

I think she'll look better with white and turquoise only......

 Nice job B o S.  I really like the color.  And the car for that matter, the steelees give it a tuff look.  Nice job on the bay as well.  :icon_smile_wink:

Troy, I think white will look killer with the turquoise.  Of course all black would tie in real nice too.  :ahum:   It'll look like River's car if you go black.  And River's car is awful damn nice.

Nice charger.  That is the same original color as my Barracuda.  I went with Plum Crazy but think I should have gone original color now that I look back on it.  I like that color the more I see it!

Congrats!

Troy, I really dig the blue cars with white interiors white tops and tail stripes. Somehow the blue really works well that way.

69, It took mostly time and elbow grease to get the engine bay done. I started off with the theory that I would leave the engine and tranny in.
Once I committed to take them out I removed everything above the K member except the steering box and the brake lines and proportioning valve. Sanding, grinding, scotch brites etc. It was winter anyway. When I got done I missed my seat on the Kmember, had to buy a chair for the garage.
