Yeah, they beat the Pats last December in Miami as well.

Last season was a mjor disappointment for us Pats fans, we lost to Denver in the playoffs. That's a good season for the Fish.

You Fish fans remember the playoffs, don't ya?

When your team highlight came 35 years ago....well, what can i say.

Lostsheep_01

We just added another team highlight yesterday!  What was that score again?  Hey, Steve P., The Bills are next! No fish oil for you! Come back, one year!

The Phins looked pretty good yesterday. My hats to you for pulling off the shutout.

ps- I'm not an AFC East guy, but are all Pat fans as arrogant in real life, as they are online?

We paid the price for years.

The Bills are the next team on the hit list.]

Prediction 21 to 13 the Dolphins win.

Thats my thoughts on the game.

I wouldn't say that the team highlights for Dolphins were all 35 years ago. I remember many years that the Pats were the worst team in the AFC East, heck many years the worst in the NFL. Look back that the records of the Dolphins over the past 38 years. If they wind up finishing 8-8 this year, which I think is possible. It would keep them from having their 5th loosing season over that stretch. What other team in the NFL can say that?

Of all NFL coaches, only Shula and the immortal George Halas attained 300 victories. The Colts under Shula enjoyed seven straight winning seasons and in 26 years at Miami, his Dolphins experienced only two seasons below .500. Shula's teams reached the playoffs 20 times in 33 years and won at least 10 games 21 times. In Super Bowl VII, the 1972 Dolphins completed their historic 17-0-0 campaign -- the only perfect season in NFL history -- with a 14-7 win over the Washington Redskins. In 1973, Miami defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl VIII to culminate a two-season span in which the Dolphins won 32 of 34 games.

I don't remember shiP from 35 years ago. I DO, however, remember last September when the Bills SQUISHED the FISH, 16 to 6...       :stirthepot:     :moon:   :nana:

Without the bad start, the Dolphins could have been the juggernauts of the AFC East.  I am a die hard Fins fan, and I am just hoping that this isn't going to be a trademark of a Saban led team...slow start, finish just strong enough to get a low round draft pick  :icon_smile_dissapprove:

When did the Patriots get moved out of the AFC East?

Ever hear of Tom Brady? He's a pretty good quarterback. You know, if you like guys with 3 SB rings and an MVP trophy.

You are dreaming.

Hmmm...78 passing yards for Brady in a game which he was outperformed by Joey Harrington.  No doubt Brady is a good QB, but he has an excellent team surrounding him.  Put Brady on most any other squad in the NFL, and I would wager he would look good, but not like the QB god Pats fans try to make him out to be.  The defense is what has won games for NE.

If Miami had started Harrington at the beginning of this season, we likely would have won at least 2 more games.  That would have put us head to head with the Pats, and we both know who is playing better football down the stretch.  Not taking anything away from NE, but the Dolphins are very tough and should have taken the AFC East this year.

Either people have selective memory or are revisionist-historians..... Not to say you are, but Hilter? Come on... That's a little harsh orrrrr, is it just that the truth hurts !!!!!!  Go 'Fins!!!!  Fish !!!! or whatever non-fans wish to call us.......  hehehehe :icon_smile_big:

I'll have to go back and see who drove the team down the field with less than 2 minutes against STL to set up that game winning FG.

He's surrounded by a great team? nSure. Not many teams will win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years with a lousy team.

How many pro-bowl WR have the Patriots had? Yet Brady has always had one of the highest QB ratings in the league. He's got a Super Bowl MVP and 3 rings and none of it is his doing?

Please.

SB XXXIX
Brady 23-33, 2 TD, 0 INT, hits 7 different receivers. Pats win 24-21.

SB XXXVIII
Brady 32-48 3 TD, 1 INT, 354 yds, 6 different receivers Pats win 32-29

But it was the defense.....

No team is ever going to win a damn thing in this league with Joey Harrington as their QB. Not now, not ever, never.

The stupidest move of the off-season was the fish going after a questionable Culpepper when Brees was available. I don't know if you've noticed, but Brees is doing kinda ok in NO.

That's what people said about Doug Williams before he ventured off to Washington...

Also, yes, N.E. has three rings to their name out of 4 appearances..... Ok, cool........ But, Lordy.. Miami's been there 5 times, the only undefeated season, had the all-time winning Coach, Hall-of-Famers out the waazooo... ohhh, let's not forget Marino....... Sooooooo, Miami's right up there with the elite of football, like Green Bay, Pittsburgh and Dallas........... Sooooooo, I think the N.E pedestal needs to be trimmed a bit.........

One word that no one will use with the Fish:

Dynasty.

3 Championships in 4 years qualifies.

Lostsheep_01

If the word "dynasty" makes that 21-0 :spank: easier to take, then so be it.

and that loss where your team didn't even eek out a field goal, included an appearance by that same Brady, although he didn't stay in for all 4 quarters...

Somehow, we'll try to get over it this week as we clinch the division and head into the playoffs.

Get those tee times scheduled for January....

Lostsheep_01

I'd worry less about our January and more about your own.  I'd rather not make the playoffs than get bounced 1st round!

Then you've been very satisfied over the last 30 years or so.

Now it's your turn to get used to it...all this trash talk doesn't change last Sunday's score...oops, didn't mean to use a word your patsys couldn't even dream of doing last week.
