later
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

To me it sounds like a Flowmaster exhaust system.
And the motor has a hot cam too.

That is a member's car. Check it out a few posts down, He's from Holland.

Sounds a lot like my car with 1 7/8" headers, TTi X-pipe and 3" Dynomax Super Turbos... 'cept a bit louder... not that mine is particularly quiet.

My 70 SS Chevelle sounds very similar to that.  I'm running a 2.5" Flowmaster system on it with 40 series mufflers.  RIght click the link below and save as to hear a sample of it....

how do you think they would sound with an H-Pipe and dumping right in front of the rear tires?

 sounds alot like mine,..
like my flowbastards as they are called three pipes with 3 inch TTI exhaust and a cross over though the hot ticket now is the X-pipe...
don't forget the TTI Headers they fit perfect and i've had them off three times for various starter trouble (Go mini race starter with a heatshield)  and they have no leak... pricey though.. i run a stock six-pack cam...

I tell folks my Charger has two sounds... Horney Panther and Pissed off T-Rex.

firefighter Ron suggests the Dynomax muffelers as a quieter alturnative an i'm gonna go with those for my 340 RR for less drama, cause as the sign says...

Flow Master!!!! All the way.....

Ya darn skippy! Flowmasters make it sound throaty and like a muscle car should sound! Sweeeeeet!  :icon_smile_big:

Sixtyeight

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, have been away for a while...

Yes they are Series 40 Flowmasters, but the Delta flow version. The pipes are self made stainless steel. Headers are Heddmann headers. The end tips are Yearone. No H-pipe.

I made this set, not knowing how it would sound, but I like the sound very much, not going to chance anything!
