Ron spent the weekend sucking back some zero rust paint fumes to help with Project Road Ruiner. Even cleaning and scraping some oilly stuff off the floors. Thanks for coming down and helping with the Road Runner.
Got a lot done in a short time.  PROGRESS IS A GOOD THING!

Notice Mr Heater [/b] used your the curing of the paint.

kamkuda

All bare metal now protected.

kamkuda

The heater worked well to cure the paint. :

The wheel wells are larger to fit even bigger tires when I need more traction (hopefully) :P

Did the resulting flatulence help heat the garage too? :icon_smile_big:

That sheetmetal looks pretty darn clean now! BTW, looking at all the go-fast hardware, I see why it's called the Road Ruiner...sweet! :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Like CF said, gotcha' some clean metal to work with.  Better be careful with the space heater runnin' after eating chili.

What color you painting it, red?

I hear nothin' but good things about ol' Ron, wish I lived a little closer.

FF's only flaw is that he's a Steelers fan, but no one is perfect. :icon_smile_big:

Looks like an excellent start. Maybe Mike and I can move out near Ron one of these days.

Looking good man! Zero Rust is great stuff.
It was my first time using it.  I was happy with the results.

Blk Charger.  I feel almost relieved to see progress ;D

Thanks for the Kudo's Rob....it was my pleasure to help out with this awesome project.  :yesnod:

Zero rust is an excellent product and this is the second time i've used it. As long as the surface is clean and grease free it applies beautifully.  ;D Rob did an excellent job getting most of it ready....we ended up doing everything once we got going.  :icon_smile_big:

We sprayed the product with my high pressure low volume "Craftsman" paint gun and we diluted the paint 25% with thinner. The propane heater did a nice job of baking on the zero rust.

The shop was well ventilated and we cleared out any (Zero rust) fumes before firing up the heater !  :o The Methane produced from the Chili consumption didn't cause any real issues  But it did make for an interesting 4hr drive home.

Car is looking great guys. See you in about 8 months and you can tell me all about it. Thanks for the water (err Keith's) in Carlisle. I'll bring Coors Light next year for you to compare.  :icon_smile_wink: ;D

Ron is the man though. Wish he lived closer.

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Chris, How about a blind folded Keiths versus Coors light comparison.   :icon_smile_tongue:

Better than an Ain'ts fan, right?

By the way, is it me or does the thread title say Ruiner instead of Runner?

Better? Not really, but if you want to believe that, go ahead.

BTW, I am also a Charger fan, so you can also pick on them.  :icon_smile_wink:

I could but why bother? I don't want to give them any more of a complex than they already have. :icon_smile_tongue:
