no, it's going to say 440. That 360 is sold, and she WILL have a 440 in her

and yes, hard top, Vinyl trim, and stripe. Unless something happens. Thats the plan.  :yesnod:

I agree.

Your doing a GREAT job. It can be a lot of work. hu.

Brings back memories of when I stripped the roof of mine down to bare metal and put the new gator top on.

I still have arthritis in the wrists from that one.

O.k. It's been about 3 weeks and no progress was made, I threw out my back again and with work and Kayleighs birthday partys it's been a bit since I could get back into the Garage.

But I did thed other night. more sanding, have a lot of the car to where it needs to be, started on the drivers side fender, Filled the seams on the rear quarter and roof line with all metal and the rear valance.

the great news... sounds like she'll be at the Formal bodyshop <Vintage Motorsports> for primer and paint in about 2 weeks.

Has anyone ever used that aluminum body filler (Metal Body Filler) ? It is very expensive, but on the quarter body seam I think it would be the best bet to replace the led. Body filler tends to expand and contract and tends to swell and show the seam.

Great job on your car.

Thanks, and thats what I used, it's called "All metal" It's aluminum filler basically. Vintage Motorsports <The one 2 of my friends own> Suggested it, they said thats what I needed for the pretty much the same reasons you stated. And the fact that my car had a vinyl top and just have body caulk in it ;)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

What a day...

Well, the more you dig the more you find, the guys and I spent the day fixing some unexpected rust we found, cut out the old, put in the new. Did more sanding and cleaned up the engine compartment. At some point in this cars life she had some work on the front, old welds were not even close to being nice and clean.... Don't get me wrong, they worked, but I like a nice neat compartment... here are some pictures of todays progress..

O.k..... yesterday she got her first coat of Primer, I was extremely excited. I was at the point that I was just walking around the car and not getting anything done. But the moment of truth was at hand... ahhh, the first coat to see what I messed up with, heheh

Well. I went back to the garage today and block sanded the car. I was extremely happy to find that there where very few high spots and the lines are starting to show nice and strong... The car is just about straight again!  :icon_smile_big:

I left the garage with a great sense of accomplishment and the Charger got her second coat as well.

Now I have to add this. I have NEVER done body work before. I can build a motor, I can build a sweet running car, but I could never do the body justice. The boys at Vintage Motorsports have been extremely helpful and patient with helping and teaching me. I have to give them Kudos!
