It's been speculated that the tag belongs to the car in the ad.  The car was located in recent years.

I know the car has been located.  I took the picture of the fender tag and the car sits about two miles from where I am sitting right now. Galen Govier told the owner of the car that he is 99.9% positive that it was the car. But the car in the pic that you posted is a GTX.

Last reply was on March 13th...today, March 30th...dropped seven pages in two weeks (and a bit)...

This was the car we street raced in for years all over the lower mainland. It was always a big block, had many different engines as we blew them quite frequently... and a pistol grip four speed. It was everywhere, Latimer, Harvie, Tilbury, Deltaport, Superport, Boundary, you name it.... 1980ish and on...

Plymouth Superbird decals on the 1/4 panels and a large MoPar mural hand painted on the trunklid. Our calling card....  :lol:

Switched to this car mid 1980s, still had the MoPar callouts to anybody anywhere who pulled up beside us at a light...  ;)
This car went 11.63 at 118mph at Ashcroft with 2.91 gears!!!
