Well, I still have one more coat to apply on Weds.  It is a VCT tile and I added a top coat of polyurathane.

I like your floor but I don't think multi-colored or speckled floors are practical for a working garage, because small parts that fall (it's bound to happen) are really difficult to find. Just my $.02

I totaly agree, I plan on adding on a two car shop attched to the back for wrenching, welding, and restoring.  This garage is mostly for show.

if you don't mind my asking, how much did the tile cost?

I was going to tile my current garage floor, but we'll be moving in a year or so. It's just not cost effective, so I'll be tiling the new garage instead (but without sparkles )
I can't decide on a scheme though..black&white checkerboard or all white..
But your B&W checkerboard sure does look good!

Go to Home Depot or Lowes.  Wait for the sale.  I got mine when they had them for 20% off and I opened up a Home Depot charge card and saved another 10%.  I payed .35 cents a tile.  The adheisive was 29.00 per 5 gallons and I needed 15 gallons of that or 90 bucks worth.  Keep in mind me shop is 1500 sf but I only payed 600 bucks for the tile and adheisive.  I payed 50 bucks for the VCT tile cutter (you WILL need one) but I can sell you mine for 25 bucks     You will need the reccomended 100 pound roller to roll down on the tiles after you lay it, another 100 bucks for a weekly rate rental at the Depot.  If you lay down a top coat of clear Polyurathane that will cost you depending on you the size shop you have.  I have over 100 man hours (mine) to this point but my labor is free

Is that over a new concrete floor or has the garage been built for awhile?  I would like to do that to my garage floor but it is about 10 years old and has stains from salty roads in the winter and oil changes, etc...  What did you clean the concrete with before you glued down the tile?

Looks like PVC (Polyvinyl chloride)

I only have 960sq ft. right now, but every method of flooring I've looked at would have cost me over $1000.
I'll definitely keep this in mind when I build the garage on the new house

*EDIT* Never mind, I went back & looked at the rest of that thread...apparently that '69 lives there too. I didn't notice in the first bunch of pics that the tire tracks for the motor home aren't tiles, but rather are painted on! Definitely a thumbs up!
