I finally got my prints from the GoodGuys Rod Show at Texas Motor Speedway and I just scanned them so I could post them up here (these scans don't do them justice).

For those of you that have never attended a GoodGuys show, they have professional photographers stationed around the event to capture your car as you're driving into certain areas. And then they offer to sell them to you later. They can photoshop features into the picture. I had them put a crowd in the grandstand in one photo.  The Air Force Thunderbirds were doing a show down the road and they kept buzzing the track. Well, they took a lot of photos of them and I've been thinking about having my Superbird photoshoped into their formation.  Would that be cool or what?

Anyway, I thought I'd share these with ya'll....

Here we are going into registration.

Here I am driving into the track.  This one has been Photoshopped with the track in the background.  From the curb back was not actually there!

Hey Phil,
Man, nice pics... I have to make it up there some time..... Looks like tons of fun.........  How fast were you allowed to go on the track or was it more of a parade-thing?

Yeah it was fun but man it was hot hot hot in the infield that weekend!!!

They put out a pace car for each group of about 25 cars but if you just hang back you can wind it out.
I hit 100 mph down the back stretch!!!  What I thought was cool was driving right up against the wall in the corners. What surprised me was you can only see about 100 feet in front of you with the banking (imagine driving in a bowl).  That must be scary at 190 mph!

There was a beautiful old Packard in my group that was "getting it on" and blew his motor. It took them an hour to clean that mess up. My club members said that last year some guy put his '34 Ford in the wall at about 100 mph and they hauled him off in an ambulance.

It's weird on how the picture of your car with the emtpy stands looks like a toy put in front of a back drop!  :icon_smile_big:

Meant to ask as well, is that "net" part of the window or what?

The window net is made with a combination of silver and black window tint.  So it in no way interferes with the operation of the window or door like a real net.  I thought it was pretty clever what they came up with!

You're right, that is pretty clever.  Probably looks a little odd if the window is rolled halfway down, but it sure looks cool in the pics!
