I thought this might be good for some debate...

At the Mopar Alley show this past June the Modern Catagory was populated by half a dozen black '06 Chargers incl. a  r/t rental that just showed up...
I thought that totally bogus at the time and reading this article stirred up those feelings again...  :flame:

A friend at work just told me a story about some magazine that rented a new Hertz Mustang, took it to 2 shows & won 1st place awards at both shows!

This is over some guys that spent 10 years of their lives building their cars & get duped by a rental! :rotz:

I used to like pulling into a car show back in 1987 with my new Buick Grand National. That car was like a magnet and boy would some of those people get ticked when I won a stupid trophy! A friend of mine had a black 1970 Buick GS Stage1 and he and I would go to all the shows together and usually each of us would take home an award. You should have seen the frowns on some of the other people showing their cars at the shows when we would pull in, it was great. By the end of the summer we made lots of good friends and also pissed off a few of the trophy collectors...those were the days...

Why would newer cars be competing with older ones in the same categories?  Also, if someone is pathetic enough to have to rent a car to win a trophy then they're the real loser anyway...

This just proves all the more why Dodge needs to build the Challenger!  As soon as I get mine, I'm going to immediately repaint it in some wild color not currently available and take it to car shows  :icon_smile_approve:  That should put a stop to those Mustangs winning the trophy  :yesnod:

I'd have to agree with most everything C&D wrote about the GT-H.

Well..... except the BS about renting one.

It was a quick and painless affair (maybe since I'm over 30 and renting out of Portland, OR).

Mad power, insane braking, and it does actually feel like it corners on rails.

Minus the scary body roll. :D

Just wish Portland (hmmm..... more like all of Oregon) wasn't so anti-car.

F'n 55 mph speed limits!

Man, to be near Cheyenne, WY. :yesnod:
