My temperature gauge is broken on my 1968 Charger, now before I do anything does the gauge come out seperately or does the whole cluster have to come out? Thanks

Carrnutt

you have to take out the entire cluster in order to replace or repair the guages :(

Damn, i'm going to get someone to check again first that it's the actual gauge but I think it is as nothing is happening

Sorry, but u might wanna replace the sending unit first, easy and cheap. and wouldnt hurt, maybe test the wires at the terminals on back of guage. One is 5 volts constant with ignition on and the other shoud have ground resistance decrease as temp goes up, thereby makin the guage move more and more. it could be in the wiring saving the trouble of removing the cluster. hopefully u find it and its an easy fix for u :)

Just because the gauge won't move doesn't mean the gauge is bad.

I know but the gauge is slightly twisted in the dial and it looks kind of odd
