Use black urathane window sealent, available at good auto parts stores
- The sealent comes in a tube like any other sealent, cut the tube about 1/2 way down the neck and then cut a square "notch" in the tube. This will make a nice square bead for the glass to sit on
- Hopfully you saved the small rubber things that were at the base of the window, those are your spacers
- Lay nice square bead all the way around the frame, install rubber spacers then sit the glass on the spacers and GENTLY lower the glass in the frame without moving it around...just drops in!

NOTE don't make the bead too tall or the check molding will not sit right and stick up as it meets the glass which is out too far. This is a common problem you'll see with restored cars...including mine  ::)

Good luck

IIRC the rear window is held in by butyl tape....there are different thicknesses...too thick and like AK stated the moldings will not fit properly

Sorry I cant help with an exact size tape.... :(

I used 3/8" butyl tape and it is just on the verge of being to thick. If I had it to do over 5/16" or maybe 1/4" would be my choice.
