69 OUR/TEA

This is a very big weekly cruise night for those around Ct and Ma.Ranging from 750 cars up to 1300 every week!!! Gone a couple times this year without a car, heard last minute that it was the last one of the year, the coronet was'nt cleaned up,so after not driving my Buick since april or may, wiped it down hooked up the battery and headed out.I know it's a brand x to most of you here, but I also have a liking to other makes and models, owned this one for about 15 years now,and is a keeper right up there with my charger. Also a pic of another bad buick. Here are some pics from the show of what I could get to,as people were heading out while I was snapping shots.Even got a pic of a 69 Hemi charger in none the less my favorite color combo,T5,white top and stripe, but was rolling when I took the pic and my digi camera was in still mode so it came out blurry, but you get the idea.

Actually this car was purchased new by my mother in 1968. I was 14 at the time. I am from central CT.
My mom passed in 1982 and I inherited the car which then had 47,700 miles on it. Shortly after that, I had the car painted and some minor rust on the rear quarters taken care of. Long story short I got married and we settled down to raise a family...the car has been in inside storage for over 20 years. This spring I started working on the car to get it on the road again before winter. I replaced the orig. 318 with a built 340. The car was officially back on the road last weekend and it now has 48384 miles on it.
More pictures to follow.
The car still has its original interior and except for the paint job all the exterior trim, grill, etc. is original stuff.
I still would like to update the suspension, add front disc brakes, and install 15" Cragar SS or American racing TTO wheels. Until then it's just nice to drive the car again and enjoy it.
Thanks MOM.
