Request - When posting a news story...

Anyway y'all can copy and paste the text of the article into the post instead of just posting the link?

It's not that I'm lazy, but some of us that are at work are hesitant to click on any link - never know when you're gonna get a bunch of pop-ups and whatnot.

Just a suggestion....

like this thread, for example.

And yes, I get the irony of posting a link...but its to this site, which we all know is safe.

Well some of us-at least me-have trouble doing that. Heck I only been on-line for 3 years now and this is my first computer. When I started school the eclectic typewriter was the lastest thing.

Copying & pasting is only one step harder that turning on your computer.

I bet if you know how to open your fly & use a urinal without peeing down your leg, you can learn this too.  

Left click & drag the mouse until you see all the text you want to copy become highlighted, then right click & choose "copy", then place the cursor where you're posting & right click again & click on "paste".

when you come to the text you want to post, just hold the left click on the mouse down and highlight all the text you want to post.  Then right click and you should see the word "copy", select copy and it's done.  Go to the place you want to post it and get the little flashing line like you see in any document program where you start to write.  Scroll the mouse to that line and right click, and the word "paste" will be there.  Select that and you should see the text appear.

the same way you copy and paste the link, except you select all the text in the article. I tend to do bold lettering, pictures, and all that fancy stuff, but just the text will do.

Also Posting a story from a news source is actually frowned upon greatly in many Circles

I know for a fact, a local news company here will sue you for copying thier stories, links are always safer.

Heck I am still going to post and now even copy the news story's here. If AP or someothers don't like it oh well, whats one more who doesn't love me ?

just post a link to the original story as well so they can get credit.
