I know we had a post on this car already, but I don't remember it haveing a video to it. Click the link, and watch the video. It's pretty cool. If you dont have Quick Time video player for windows, you are either screwed or you will have to download it to see it.

I sure hope the box that the car is in didn't fill with water over the years or it will be a sad sight when its opened.

That's for sure. :yesnod:

So, are any of you Oklahoman's going to go see it dug up? ;)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I would think the car if it a is excellent shape yet, will be worth more than $25,000 to someone like Barret-Jackson.

i think if its in good shape it will be worth way over 25k. just because of what it is. its a ultra low mileage car that was buried for 50 years. and the most original example out there I would bet. it would probably sell for 25k if its rusty as shit because of that too.

I think it will be a project car but the engine, trans, radiator and anything else with fluid will need to be rebuilt or replaced.

I've seen old newsreel films and it looks like they shot the inside of the vault with gunite, which is used to make the shell of plaster swimming pools.  others have incorrectly said that the video shows them spraying cosmoline, but if you look, it's gunite.  the article posted in the above link confirms it.

gunite it water proof, we have shells of pools that we shoot late in the fall, too late to apply the finish layer of marbledust.  in the spring, they are full to the rim.  if they shot it good enough, then water should not have penerated

that is true dkn1997, but moisture and condensation would still be present inside the capsule from the heating and cooling process of the grond around it....
