I have a new ELectric Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter, The Fuel Filter is a mount canister type with 3/8 NPT on both in and out. I'm looking to mount the pump and filter brackets on the cross member of the rear shock support.
What is the best position for the pump and filter.
Tank, Canister Filter, Pump, Regulator, Carb ?????
or
Tank, Pump, Canister Filter, Regulator, Carb??????

Should I also put an in-line filter before the carb too????
Thanks
Pete

I mounted both my fuel pump and similar fuel filter on the inside of the frame rail to the front right of the fuel tank on the passenger side.  the order should go tank, pump, filter, regulator, carb.

You may want to put a fuel filter before and after the pump.  I am thinking about going that direction just in case my stock gas tank gets rust particles in it for some god awful reason.  This way the pump does not have to worry about rust heading into it.

Just a thought.

the pumps are far more efficent at pushing fuel than pulling , putting the filter before ythe pump can starve the engine
