There is proof that at least 2 72 6pk cars were built. One of the is a 72 RR that a fellow board member from moparts owns!(fender tag and all)..........DO YOU HONESTLY THINK I WOULD MAKE A STATEMENT LIKE THAT IF I DIDN'T KNOW THAT THEY EXSISTED? :pity:

My bad.
I heard that a couple 440+6 were snuck out the door in '72, but it wasn't an option from the dealers.

thank you Mr. Nader!

I thought it was listed at the beginning of the year but was cancelled shortly after production began?  The ones that made it out are extremely early build cars, correct?

Well according to Discovery Channel, the 69 Charger R/T 440 Magnum is the ultimate muscle car - beings as how I have one, such as it is, I am inclined to agree with them  :icon_smile_big:

That was a pretty cool show! Looked like Brian's (Resq302) Charger.

Yup

And after checking a 72 brochure, I see it was listed as available in there so a lot of dealers must have gotten tired of fending that one off through the year.

Its hard to pick from all the mopars out there.  And while I've seen some that were truly worth drooling over, but very few that I'd personally want to own other than the ones I already have.  I'm pretty happy with my 69 RT/SE, an 91 stealth R/T turbo that I have in my garage.  Of all the rest its a toss up between the following:  70 Challenger T/A b5 blue w/black top and trim (or sublime), a 69 superbee sixpack (fell in love with a car and driver article on them back in late 60s) and last of all, a Viper GTS coupe Blue w/white stripes.

The viper was supposed to be my mid life crisis car, but it was too expensive so i got a cobra instead, I'd still love to have my antique, my hotrod, and a semi exotic.  Maybe when I turn 50.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

I already own the ultimate Mopar!

Its a 4 speed!!  HAHA!

#1:  my triple black '68 R/T, but I'd put ladder bars under it, full cage, EFI 572 Hemi with a fogger setup and a doug nash 5 speed out back.  High 8 second street car or bust.

#2 would be a clone or one of the real Sox & Martin pro stock Barracudas.  I'd prefer a '70, but I wouldn't kick a '71 out of bed, either.

It's kinda like asking me for my favorite band, I just can't decide.  Probably would be a Hemi 4-speed though.  I'd add a Gear Vendors unit too.  Can you imagine 8 gears?  You could keep that hemi in it's peak powerband all the way to 200mph!

Oh yeah, how could I forget.....an '06 Charger....

pettyfan43

Mine would have to be something with a big pointy nose, a tall wing and a Hemi with a 4 speed, A superbird in Lime Green or a Daytona in F6 green or really any other color! Come to think of it, color wouldn't matter on either one!
