Hey guys, I got an AM/FM Radio with cassette pigtail but doesn't work... I thought this could be a posibility, but those are "easy" to repair... the problem is that the tech can't even read the values codes of devices damaged, so I need HURRY an schematic Diagram of inner circuits to this Radio. Several stuf has been already changed, like the outputs transistors ( now with more powerfull motorola ones ).

It looks Radio got damaged because last owner feed positive throught the speakers outputs... damn!!!

Once output transistors were changed we can get noises throught the line in plug from cassette when you touch, and tech was wondering how do you do the selection when you don't have the cassette player. I told him by default radio must work... is on that way right ? he was some suprised about that since if is on that way, why he could get noises touching the input pins of the cassette player DIN plug

Does somebody knows where or who can provide me about diagrams of This Radio ?

Theres someone that goes by the name bigmoneylewis that sells a lot of restored Charger radios.  Maybe you can contact him through ebay and he'll help you out?  Here's one of his current auctions...

Hey Nacho, check this out.  This seller, godukies, seems to have tons of radio service manuals, but I don't see one listed right now for a 74 Charger.  You might want to contact him and see if he has one or can get his hands on one for you.

Also, I just noticed a different thumbwheel radio auction on ebay, and it mentioned the restorer was S&M Radios in Blaine, Minnesota.  Looks like this is their website, if you want to try to contact them.   http://www.turnswitch.com/

HEY GUYS finally got an answer... thanks Recharger for your help, I got an answer from turnswitch.com

IT LOOKS the radio doesn't work with pigtail plug JUMPER linking the line in and out on pigtail, so is not true the Radio must work by default. what I don't know if just cut/links the line OR also the tuning function on Radio itself. PLEASE INFO... my tech is getting mad LOL. he can't find the reason why Radio is not turning and green indicator is not working.

Does somebody know where find the jumper... On parts for sale section a Radio was sold and looks to have a black stuff at the end of pigtail what probably is the Jumper ?

I'm still in touch with turnswitch to check if they can help from the distance and I pay for services. They are offering me rebuilt/upgrade service but just Shipping will be $150 ( complete shipping to get it back ) and I can get a working radio for that price.
