what was the original color?  Green or Bronze?

I vote for Black with a "ghost" clear stripe.

Silver with Red Stripe.

Black with Red Stripe would be second choice.  Black shows all the little body imperfections, and is a pain to keep clean looking.

I think a decent '69 would look awesome with a dark charcoal grey (but glossy) body, and then paint the vinyl top area flat black.  (And get the bumpers & chrome trim in good shape.)

IMHO this would look awesome and really bring out the "block of chiseled steel" theme that the original designer was working towards.

paint it the original if it is an R/T or something , if not  i would go with  black with a matt black ghost  stripe .

69 OUR/TEA

Hello 69charger383,one of your choices was metallic blue w/ white stripe, did you mean a factory color like B3,B5,or B7 ?I just finished my 69 R/T couple months ago,it is B5 w/white top and white stripe,so here is a pic for you to see what this looks like. This was not on my top choice of colors but because it is a real R/T I decided that I better leave it the original color.I'm not saying that I hate it,I do like,it has nice contrast from the blue to the white, but my ultimate favorite is a tie between T5 copper w/white top and white stripe or triple black stripe delete.Anytime you go with a color that you can do a black interior, makes things that much easier,if you only knew what I went thru with this dark blue interior to get alot of the pieces right on the money.

Hey, 69 OUR/TEA I think your car looks awesome ! : :yesnod:

It all depends on what color the interior is before I'd make a suggestion...............

Exactly. By the way, black with a red stripe ONLY looks good on 70 Chargers, can't explain why, it just does...

I don't think changing the color of an R/t is all that bad, it's just paint.

Mine is an all numbers R/t, sitting on a rotiss right now, and I'm not going original color.  JJ gold for '68 was just too ugly.  Everything else on the car is going to be date coded stock, but I just can't do the gold.  I'm leaning to the Turbine Bronze Poly.

Really? I have never heard that one before.  Here is my 69 black with a red stripe. And I like it better than a 70.
