As far as the PG classic exhaust tips, from the pics of them that i have seen on ebay,  i personally wouldn`t buy them. They dont look right, they look like cheap imitations.
I have a pair of them, see the pics in my link above.  I don't think they're cheaply made at all.  Stainless steel with powder coated coloured sections.  They're not on my car yet, so I can't give you a full review of them.  But they're solidly built.
In fact I wonder where MRE and Year One etc get their tips from?

Looks good :2thumbs:
Where did you get the tips?  PG Classic?

Mancini Racing (MR). Paddock, Laysons and Year one carry them but all had a 3 month back order...MR had a set in stock ($450  :o)

Madman...Mine was more finished but could be the same

yeah mine difintly needed some finishing, but worked out well so I could fit the sides to the lower 1/4 better. should look great painted.

Year One was been selling someone elses repro tips long before PG started reproing the tips. I have a set of OEM tips, and the PG tips dont look right.  Note the difference(s) below. The top two tips are PG tips, the lower pic is a OEM used pair. The slots on the PG tips are noticably too short. Why bother making repros if you dont do them right?

The tips with the shorter slots look a lot cleaner than those with the long slots. I've never seen a set with the long slots before and always assumed that the short slotted pieces were the original style. You learn something new every day.

You're telling me.
I've never seen a pair of OE tips up close before.  I really like the look of the original tips, but the repros do look cleaner and they won't rust out like the OE ;)  Also they didn't come in 3"  I still wouldn't call them cheap imitations though.
If I was going for NOS, it wouldn't be a concern but I want quality not correctness :icon_smile_cool:

okay, i will rephrase myself............. :image_294343: :image_294343:  The PG tips  are a lower priced alternative to higher quality, more correct appearing reproductions  ;D

I bought the last one that he had back in Jan 06.  It fits well and only required small modification to install.

There was talk of him making more...

You are best to contact him yourself if interested.
