I'm not looking for any negative feed back. Just a simple answer if anyone online here owns a new mustang GT? I work for a Ford dealership and am thinking of getting a new won next year or so. Do I want a new Hemi Challenger, heck yeah, but I'm not gonna pay the big bucks they want for won. Let along wait 18 months before I get it. I drive  a new car everyday at work. I help deliver them from store to store when I'm not busy doing body/paint work durring the day. Is it a blast, oh yeah.......
Thanks Mark

Why......I drive them everyday. My question is, like stated above. I like them, but what do those of you who own won think of them now afterwords? I should have known you'd make a comment........... :-\

My boss bought a Roush Mustang. And I love that car. There also is a Black Roush Mustang at the local dealer that looks so cool. I'd love to own one. If I were you, I'd buy one even if your just looking at a GT.

i don't have a new one, but i do have a 2002 mustang GT, silver with the bullit wheels.  i have to say the car is perfect, i bought it with 36000KMS, and it now just turned 100000KMS, i've changed the plugs, and the rear diff damper shocks ($<40, don't ask, lets' just say really really long burn-out ;)), and put a K&N air filter in it and that's it, of course regular oil changes, ect...  I take it to the track every now and then and just run laps on a course track.  the car is bullit proof, really fun to drive, and i still really enjoy driving it.  it's also really good on gas for a V8, espically on the highway 30+MPG easy (mine is a 5spd).  i've had about 5 fox body mustangs before over the years (1986-1993 body style) and the 2002 that i currently have is not even comparable to those cars, i can't even immagine how good the 2005+ mustangs are.  for the $, it's by far the best bang for your buck in my opinion, i absoultly don't regret buying mine, i got mine for a steel, $16000CDN almost 2 years ago with 36000kms, fully loaded except for leather (mach audio system (6-cd in dash changer), power seats/windows/locks, air, keyless, cruise, traction control, ect.....)  my next daily driver is going to be another mustang GT, stock the car is so much fun, it's the only car i've ever had that i did'nt rip out the stereo the next day after getting it and start to mod the car, it's a blast.  i even drive it in winter (near Toronto, Canada), and with winter tires and traction control the car performs excellent in the snow, i'd even challange anyother car to a race in the snow and win!!!!, the traction control works amazing, and is very non-intrusive, big thumbs up in my opinion, i would'nt hesitate buying and 1999+ mustang if you ask me, i have a few buddies that have 2005 mustangs and they say they love them and they are excellent trouble free cars.  It's funny, even if you have a heavy foot (like i do) the car is still really suprisingly good on gas. :icon_smile_big:  my 69 440 charger on the other hand drinks the gas  :o :'(

Your buddys car looks pretty mean. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that if and when I buy won, it's gonna have a super charger on it before I even take it home from the dealership. It's an extra 6 grand, but also 150 to 170 more H.P. as well. It will be an automatic with 4:10 gears also. My wife says if I do buy it, my charger will be sitting another 3 to 5 years before it gets done, I said, probably, but at least I'll still own it and have a toy to drive in the mean time.
Thanks for the photos guys.

I have a 98 Mustang...older and I love it...minus the issues and the fact I have poured money into it.  lol

I have friends who have the new style Mustang...but they wish they would have waited a couple years for Ford to work out the kinks...they are starting to have electric issues.

well i'm just curious. don't get me wrong i love new mustangs too. but your original statement was.. do i want a hemi challenger.. heck yeah. but i am not gonna put out the big bucks they want for won(one). then, you say you want a GT model with a 6k supercharger on it. now even with your "employee pricing" by the time you get all that together and drive it home, won't you be at least close to the projected numbers of a hemi challenger??

Not even close. I can get a new GT for $24,730 or so. Six grand extra for the blower set up ready to go. New Challenger is going to be acording to the Dodge dealer here is around $41,000 plus. Don't get me wrong Travis, I'm a mopar guy, but I'm not gonna pass up a good deal for a car that will be equal in H.P. and still be a fun car after I have done a few mods. I'm not converting over, just wnating a nice clean quick car fore a while, heck who knows, maybe Dodge will make a new charger 2 door sooner or later and then I'll buy won of them.

No worries Travis, since I work for a Ford dealership here. I'm only still considering it still. The wife and I spoke about getting a sedan eariler, yeah, a new charger daytona. But even she says, it's not a real charger like I have now. But, it does have a hemi and can seat 5 people very easy vs. the mustang doesn't hold hardly even two kids in the back seat very well. So, time will tell on what I get next year or so. We're going to have another kid soon, so a pair of car seats will be a must in the back seat area. The dodge dealer here also said that like the new mustang GT 500 will be more money once it hits the floor, like maybe 5 to 10 grand more than what I was org. told 41 grand. Piss on that I say. Oh yeah, Travis, I couldn't help notice you were the high bidder yesterday on a certain daytona on ebay. Goodluck to you if you buy it.

sadly mark, that was more of a "i almost got one" type bids.. i'll never be able to afford that car.. even if i could.. i wouldn't spend 100k for an automobile..

I decided a bit early to look at a car in buying. I'm taking a new daytona for a test drive after work tomorrow. Its the red won w/a Hemi. Wife doesn't know yet, so if I get it, for those of you want to know, I'll post photos if I buy it. Sure, I get can get a mustang cheaper, but a Hemi is more my style I realized today after seeing a daytona spank a new GT on the highway.  :drive:
Mark
Oh yeah, the photos will be of some serious burnouts also, not just a pretty picture of some new four door!
